Kat leaned back on the couch and opened her magazine. Rachel was talking to her boss about an advance in salary so she could go to Vail with her family while Monica and Ross argued over whether or not their parents were leaving for Thanksgiving.
Kat looked up to see Ross walking away to call his parents in defeat and a very colorful-looking Joey Tribbiani enter the cafe.
"Um..." Kat started.
"Hey hey." Joey greeted.
"Hey." Phoebe and Chandler responded almost in sync.
"And this from the cry-for-help department." Chandler remarked. "Are you wearing makeup?"
"Yes, I am." Joey confirmed. "As of today, I am officially Joey Tribbiani, actor slash model." Rachel sat on the arm in front of Chandler and began goggling.
"That's so funny, 'cause I was thinking you look more like Joey Tribbiani, man slash woman." Kat, who sat in-between her brother and best friend, leaned over and hit Chandler on the shoulder.
"What were you modeling for?" Phoebe asked.
"You know those posters for the city free clinic?"
"Oh, wow, so you're gonna be one of those 'healthy, healthy, healthy guys'?" Monica spoke up from the arm behind Phoebe.
"You know, the asthma guy was really cute."
Kat nodded in agreement.
"Do you know which one you're gonna be?" Chandler asked.
"No, but I hear lyme disease is open, so..." Joey crossed his fingers and Kat bit back a laugh.
"Good luck, man. I hope you get it."
"Thanks."
Ross came back to the couch and sat in the armchair. "Well, you were right. How could they do this to us, huh? It's Thanksgiving."
"Okay, I'll tell you what. How about I cook dinner at my place? I'll make it just like Moms'." Monica promised.
"Will you make the mashed potatoes with the lumps?"
"You know, they're not actually supposed to have..." Ross looked at his sister and threw his arms up, so Monica just said, "I'll work on the lumps." She then turned to Mr. Makeup and asked, "Joey, you're going home, right?"
"Yeah."
"And I assume, Chandler, you are still boycotting all the pilgrim holidays?"
"Yes," Kat's brother confirmed, "every single one of them."
"Phoebe, you're gonna be with your grandma?"
"Yes, and her boyfriend. But we're celebrating Thanksgiving in December 'cause he is lunar."
"So you're free Thursday, then?"
"Yeah." Phoebe paused, then understood where Monica was going, "Oh, can I come?"
"Yeah. Rach, are you thinking you're gonna make it to Vail?"
"Absolutely." Rachel confirmed. She moved her arms and hips in sync and continued, "Shoop, shoop, shoop. Only a hundred and two dollars to go."
"I thought it was $98.50." Chandler said.
"Yeah, well it was." Rachel admitted, "I, I broke a cup."
"Well, I'm off to Carol's." Ross stood up.
"Ooh, ooh!" Phoebe got excited, "Why don't we invite her?"
Ross mockingly mimicked Phoebe in annoyance, "Ooh, ooh. Because she's my ex-wife and will probably want to bring her, ooh, ooh, lesbian life partner."
