REAL LIFE
"chris! oh my god... stop," ella squealed as she was trapped in chris's arms.
the two were currently messing around, chris trying to force ella into eating part of a freeze dried ice cream sandwich that was leftover from their video. he was hugging her from behind with a piece of it in his hand, attempting to put it in her mouth.
"just try it! i promise it's good," chris laughed.
ella looked over at nick, of whom shook his head in disagreement. she continued fighting to get out of his arms, "babe, i'm not fucking stupid. i saw you guys spit it out."
milani couldn't help but laugh while she watched her two friends go at it. seeing ella and chris act the way they do just made milani so incredibly happy. she believed they were the definition of a perfect couple and wanted nothing more than something like that.
though she often feels happy for the two of them, it sometimes saddens her knowing she almost had something like it. with someone who pretends nothing ever happened between them.
"i'm heading out," matt announced as he put his jacket on.
nick furrowed his eyebrows, "where the fuck are you going?"
"sarah asked me to stay with her tonight."
milani's heart stopped at the mention of his girlfriend's name. she was never a fan of her, and she never will be.
everyone said their goodbyes to matt, except milani, and he made his way out of the apartment. there was a brief silence after the door shut, but all attention went to milani during that silence.
"what?" she questioned, looking at each of them.
"no goodbye is crazy," chris stated, pretending to give up on trying to give ella the freeze dried ice cream sandwich.
ella shoved him, "oh shut up. leave her be."
chris took this chance to try and give her the ice cream sandwich once more, taking the attention away from milani.
milani felt relieved as the attention towards her immediately disappeared. she wouldn't have known what to say had they pushed the matter any further. she wasn't worried about ella knowing the reasoning behind it because she had already known. it was chris and nick she was worried about.
milani snapped out of her thoughts when nick suddenly fell down next to her on the couch.
