REAL LIFE

"ella, i literally love you so much for buying these raspberries," milani said, placing a raspberry in her mouth.

it was a little past ten in the morning, and nick, chris, ella, and milani were gathered around in the kitchen at the sturniolo's. milani and ella had stayed the night, and milani had just woken up around ten minutes ago, so she was now eating breakfast that ella had gotten for herself.

milani couldn't have been in a better mood this morning. despite everything that happened last night, spending time with matt before she went to bed was all she needed to feel better. she didn't know why she was so upset about a guy she met two days ago. she hardly even knew him, and the party last night was enough to tell her to get over it. in the moment, it was hard, but she now felt at ease, especially since matt had done everything in his power to make sure she was okay.

when they got to the apartment, matt offered to sit and watch tv with the girl until she fell asleep. milani was more than happy he was willing to do something like that, especially since he was dating someone. it took her by surprise, but she enjoyed it. maybe more than she should have.

"yeah, you owe me four dollars," ella rolled her eyes.

milani snapped out of her thoughts at ella's words. she knew she wasn't actually mad, so she continued eating the raspberries.

within a few moments, nick caught the girl totally off guard, popping the question she was hoping nobody would ask, "wait so why'd you stay the night? did something happen?"

the girl froze, failing to come up with a response. she was too embarrassed to say that she was crying over a guy she met two days ago, but she couldn't think of a lie to tell that quick. the longer she'd take, the less convincing it would be.

out of nowhere, matt came walking around the corner and answers the question for her.

"she left her key at her apartment and kyson was asleep by the time she got home," he started. "she asked if i could pick her up."

not only was milani thankful for his sudden appearance, she found herself struggling to take her eyes off of him. matt's hair was damp, signaling that he had just taken a shower. there was just something about it that made her go crazy.

maybe it was because he was so comforting and nice to her last night that she started falling for him again. she always had feelings for him, but ever since she tried to get over it, she forced herself to lose those feelings. and for some reason, she wasn't mad that she was feeling the way she was. she knew what she wanted and knew that matt deserved better than sarah.

she was getting close to doing things she knows aren't polite.

"you asked him and not me?" ella put her hand over her chest, taking offense.

milani shook her thoughts away and instantly answered her friend, "i knew you would be asleep. i didn't want to bother."

"uhuhhhh.."

ella gave her a suspicious look, knowing there was more to it than that. and as milani truly believed that she only texted matt because she knew ella would be asleep, she knew that deep down she just wanted matt there last night.

"okay, well.. since you guys are already here, do you want to be in our wednesday video?" nick questioned the two girls.

"um.. yes?!," ella said as if the answer wasn't obvious.

at first, milani wasn't so sure about being in the video. she usually doesn't like being in the videos, but an idea suddenly came to her mind. she was tired of being attacked by sarah and knew that matt deserved better. so what was her idea? get back at her.

milani smiled, leaning against the counter, "of course."
