King x Demon!Reader!

You are both older in this, and the same age.

You sighed as you curled up and drank your morning coffee and looked out of your room window.

You had been keeping away from King, why? You found that you had a crush on King, both Luz and Eda knew about this and had slightly teased you about it every once in a while.

The reason you kept away is that for the past few days you both had hung out together, and always managed to make a fool out of yourself. Either falling or, doing something stupid at the wrong time, really annoyed you.

You sighed and looked back at your coffee mug, still hot you reached down with both claws towards it and sipped a little. After taking a sip you looked at your claws, four of them, they were all shorter than King's.

Either way, if King didn't notice your 'Stupidity' you figured that you two could never be together because you thought that you lacked the looks. King had it all, the personality, looks, and what did you have? Nothing..

Your thoughts soon were interrupted by a loud knock, you thought it was your 'roommate' that had just carried so many shopping bags and was having trouble. You hopped down from the window frame, abandoning your fluffy soft blanket.

You brought your mug with you and took a sip and opened the door.

"Hey Y/N.." your eyes landed on the man himself, he stood there, looking slightly nervous and worried. You slightly spat your drink but managed to gulp it down.

King was immediately alarmed and had noticed your reaction to seeing him. He put his hands up as if surrendering.

"Easy now, it's just me!" You calmed down and sighed, your eyes drifted to his worried ones, they were beautiful. You shook your head and muttered a curse to yourself for being so stupid.

"Sorry..had a rough day.." you spoke as you looked down, King nodded, and you realized that you were now outside with the demon.

"So uh, need a-anything?" You stuttered and mentally cursed yourself for it. The demon rubbed the back of his neck.

"We'll, kind of..I stopped by to check up on you, I-we haven't seen you in a while..and wanted to make sure that you were alright.." you could feel your heart pound faster. He really did that? You cleared your throat and tried to stop the blush from rising to your cheeks.

"Y-yeah I've been fine..just..busy..is all." King frowned at your obvious attempt at an excuse. You had the habit of blaming things on 'work' King and a few knew this was an excuse that you used frequently.

"What's the real reason?" He asked, you sighed and stuck by your answer.

"Work, I had lots to do." You replied, leaning on the door frame. King sighed, not believing the excuse.

"Y/N..please tell me, it's worrying seeing that you disappeared for a few weeks now...you're usually very quick when getting work done.." King's eyes looked deep into yours, studying them.

You sighed, you really wanted to tell him but, getting rejected and possibly ruining a friendship was the worst you came to mind.

You thought for a bit, King could see that you were in deep thought and awaited you to gather them. You sighed, telling him would really help relieve the stress..worst he can say is no, right?

You took a deep breath and got ready.

"Truth is..I've been..avoiding you.." you looked up to see King slightly hurt, you then frantically waved your hands around.

"No no no! It's not like that! I've just..I really like you King, and I just, I end up making myself look like a fool every time we're hanging out. I tried avoiding that..by avoiding you.." your eyes drifted back up to his only to see his excited and happy expression.

You looked at him slightly confused.

"You okay there pal-" you were cut off by two furry arms hugging you tightly, King quickly let go and regained his composure.

"Sorry..I'm just..I feel the same too..I ended up feeling like I needed to hang out more with you, and I did that...I thought I had made you uncomfortable and came to apologize.." You were frozen with a blush on your cheeks, you snapped out of the trance and smiled.

"Heh, don't worry kid." He looked back at you, a blush on his face as well.

"So..are we, a 'thing' now? Is that what you call it?" He asked, you nodded happily and hugged him tightly. King hugged back, the embrace lasted for almost a minute until someone interrupted.

"SO CUTE!" A squeal was heard from behind the bushes, you could see Eda, and the culprit behind the squeal, Luz, in a few bushes.

"Luz! I told you to be quiet!" Eda playfully and motherly-like lectured. Luz whispered a 'sorry' and continued to record on her phone. King looked back with an angry yet embarrassed look. A blush covered his face.

He suddenly did his cute angry squeal and you laughed along with Eda as he yelled at them for ruining the moment. Boy was he special...

🌻I think I left something along the lines of "jdxydjdbdhdhskh" in my Eda x Reader one-shot, cuz it's in my original script and I don't know if I fixed it in my final version or not and I'm too tired to go find out.
