Another day of work, another day you'd get to see Kikimora.

Speaking of her she walked right down the hall. She was looking for something, it seemed, her eye darted around until it landed on you.

She seemed to have found it...Walking towards you she motioned to follow.

"We have no time to waste!"

She started and walked towards the Emperor's room. She quickly burst in but stopped at the sight, the Golden Guard had beat her to it.

The two turned to look at both of you, their masks covering both their faces.

"Ah, Kikimora. What a pleasant surprise.." the Emperor started. You knelt/bowed as Kikimora made a quick bow, as you knelt down you noticed Kikimora's eye.

She looked like she was about to commit a murder.

You gulped and looked back at the emperor and his Golden child- Guard. "Kikimora, I have replaced you with the Golden Guard on the mission. You will stay behind and make preparations for our important upcoming day,"

Kiki nodded as you stood up.

The emperor waved you two away.

Walking out, Kiki growled under her breath.

"When I get my hands on him I swear I'll-" You felt a shiver course throughout you in fear. You knew that if Kiki wanted to, she'd rip you to shreds then and there without a second thought or effort.

You snapped back into reality as you noticed Kiki and you had stopped.

She was staring at you, your head turned towards her, and she continued staring. You froze, her sight alone made you freeze and cower, her presence alone made you clumsy or stutter.

Ah, the curse of love.

You slowly waved a hand in front of her face, hesitantly making sure that you had an escape exit in case she suddenly attacked you. Kikimora shook her head and made a weird chuckling/giggling noise.

"S-sorry.."

You heard her stammer. You rose a brow behind your mask. You had never heard her stutter

'Guess there really is a first time for everything..'

You thought. Kiki quickly motioned for you to follow into her office.

(Kiki's POV)

I stared at Y/N.

I hadn't noticed and didn't mean to, but I suddenly just stared. She was pretty nice and kind to everyone, even me, but she seemed to be more..

Afraid..? Of me.

She always stuttered around me or made a clumsy move. Nonetheless, that's one of the many things I found cute.

What I couldn't wrap my bead around was, why.

Why was she afraid of me? Was it my status in the coven? Was it the way I looked or spoke? I didn't/don't know.

I had tried many times to change my appearance or speech but it never changed their attitude towards me. Y/N was incredible. When she was first assigned to be my guard and assistant, I had really messed up by being incredibly hostile towards her.

And I believe it's the reason we don't get along so well.

Over time she seemed to warm up a little towards me, just a little. Sometimes I wonder if she always carries a look of fear behind the (F/A) mask. I had never seen her without her mask. The thought and curiosity have been killing me.
