King x Actor/ress!Demon!Reader!

You both are aged up in this.

No one said acting was easy, but you sure had the luck. You currently sat on the couch and re-read the lines that Luz had given you. You had become friends with the human and had met their other friends, Eda, Gus, Willow, and even King.

King had stuck out to you more, you found him quite charming. You found a few weeks ago that you had a crush on him and couldn't deny it as much as you wanted.

You had kept it pretty well hidden, Luz nor anyone else knew.

"Okay I think I'm ready for next week's performance," you told Eda, she gave a lazy grin as she snuggled herself into the piles of pillows and blankets.

"I'm sure you'll do great kid, Luz hasn't stopped talking about how cool this play will be." You nodded as you looked down at your lines in the script. Many other people were also in the play.

Luz had given you one of the protagonist roles. There was a scene in which another actor had to admit their 'love' for the protagonist, that was you.

The person that's job was to admit their feelings was someone that you didn't know. You were being paid for your favorite food which was a plus.

"Eda, are you sure I'll do well?" Eda lazily nodded as King walked in with Luz. Walking towards them both, you noticed that King looked angry while Luz seemed to try to calm him.

"Hey, King!" You greeted. The small adorable friend looked at you and their expression immediately changed.

"(Y/N)!" The fluffy creature greeted you as they wrapped their arms around you.

"You okay?" You asked, he nodded.

"Yeah, why'd you ask?" You looked at Luz then back at him.

"Well you just seemed so upset when you were coming in.." he waved you off dismissively.

"I lost my mini crown.." you raised an eyebrow as you pointed towards the crown on his head.

"Um, isn't it that one?" You inquired. King's eyes drifted towards his head, and a nervous blush spread on his cheeks.

"O-oh! Seems you found it! Well, I've got to go now!" He yelled out as he ran out of the room.

You looked towards Luz that had a smirk on her face as she looked at King, you found it a tad bit strange but shrugged it off and walked away to continue practicing.

"Well, I've got to go Luz! See you later! Tell King I said goodbye! Bye Eda!" You said and Eda replied with a snore while Luz waved.

(Time Skip)

You sighed as you looked at your slightly shaky hands. It was rare for you to get nervous while on stage or before stage. A tap on your shoulder suddenly got your attention. You turned to see King there with a smile, you relived a sigh of relief as you recognized the figure in front of you.

"Oh, hey King." You greeted, he smiled and rubbed the back of his skull as he held something behind his back in his hand.

"Hi (Y/N)...I just came to wish you luck." You smiled and gave him a quick hug. You pulled away from him and thanked the adorable bean. A blush spread on his cheeks and you noticed.

"You alright?" He nodded and pulled out an (F/C) rose and extended his paw towards you.

"H-here.." You gently took it from his grasp and put it on your (H/C) (F/A) ear a blush growing on your cheeks.

Another witch suddenly came into the room.

"(Y/N) (L/N), your part is starting again." You smile towards the witch as they walked out. You looked back at King as he looked happy for you.

"Thanks, King, welp, gotta roll." He nodded and walked out, but before he left he commented.

"Nice costume!"

You walked on stage, you said your line confidently. You thought that it'd go smoothly as you had been practicing since the role was assigned to you.

but no one came.

You awkwardly stood there awaiting for anyone as the crowd looked in anticipation.

Meanwhile, the king looked from backstage. He became worried, why wasn't anyone entering the stage!? He walked to the room where the other protagonist should've been but he walked in to see an empty room.

"What the-?" Luz walked by him, King noticed and tugged at her shirt. Luz looked at his worried expression.

"Where is the other actor!?" He asked as he wanted to get the dude/dudette onto the stage as quickly as possible so as to not embarrass you. Luz returned the look.

"The actor got sick a few minutes ago and was rushed to the nurse's room." King gave a worried glance towards the opening that lead to the stage.

"Then who will play the part!?" He yelled, Luz, shrugged quickly as they looked around.

"We may have to cancel the play" Luz looked down only to see the king gone, she looked up and saw him slipping on the costume and running onto the stage.

"So what if I make a fool out of myself!? As long as
(Y/N) doesn't then I'll be fine!" He waddled onto the stage and finished slipping his sleeve up. He tripped and quickly got back up.

As he was about to say his lines he remembered that he had never gotten a role and therefore never practiced, he panicked and looked at (Y/N) as they returned that same look of panic.

He suddenly got an idea, he could just spill out what he really felt for (Y/N) and later play it off as him just taking any line he could think of. He cleared his throat and began.

"(P/N)...I know I haven't expressed it as I should, or have never even thought of doing so..but..I'd really like you to know that I really like you, more than just friends. Your laugh, your smile, it's everything I've ever wanted..and if you could make me, the happiest um.. (P/A/N) in the galaxy...will you accept my feelings..?"

He asked as he extended his claw towards you, you blushed a dark shade of red as you had not expected that. It seemed so real..King wasn't even supposed to play the part. You smiled and took his hand.

"Yes, I will accept your feelings..Ki- um, (P/N).."

King could feel his heart flutter as he heard those words. The crowd suddenly erupted into cheers. You two smiled and bowed, eventually you both left the stage hand in hand.

"THAT WAS AMAZING KING!" Luz commented, Eda hugged the king for such dedication and the other also praised him for saving the show. He chuckled and waved them off.

"Thanks, guys, but, the real hero is (Y/N)! Never once did they flee from the stage and kept standing there like a champ! I mean, how many people can do that?"

King looked towards you and smiled, you smiled back as your heart pounded. You really wished he meant those words, and he did. You just didn't know it yet.

-I got this finished quicker than I expected. The original form had SO many misspelling errors, this final product might as well but I'll fix it soon. Hope it's good for a request, I'll do better on the next ones, I really tried my best and had other thoughts and this was going to end and start a whole lot different plot.
