'YOU ARE A BADASS'
I admit it---I've been lazy. I've also been a great pretender, pretending to be someone I'm not just so others would like me.
Yes, I've been so lazy that I let life take me wherever it wants. Too lazy to make my own decisions. Too lazy to search for the meaning of my own existence. I hate living like this---but I haven't found anything else to focus on.
I was once humiliated in public, and I blamed myself for it. I grew up never being the one to decide when it came to the big steps in life.
What I really need now is to stop just wanting to change my life---and start choosing to change it.
I keep asking myself:
Why do I let others decide for me?
Why do I even wake up in the morning?
What is my purpose in this world?
Can I do something that actually makes a difference?
We're all going to die someday.
So what can I do while I'm here?
And if I can't make a difference...
Could it be that I am the difference?
I'm confused.
What do I really want to become?
You ever feel like you want something—but don't believe you're good enough to go after it?
Commitment.
That's what I lack—commitment, motivation, and faith in myself.
But today, I'm making a conscious decision:
I will stop living by the insulting choices I've made about myself.
I will replace them with new, better ones.
I need to get clear about who I am and what I'm meant to do.
And the only way to start... is to act. Not overthink. Just do.
I will listen to myself.
I will follow the things I secretly dream of.
I will love myself.
I will own my flaws.
I will stand tall.
I am a badass.
