CHAPTER 30

"Ok - this one?!" Maya asks frantically as Andy looks up from her phone.

"Sure, looks great Mai, about as great as the other 3 shirts you have tried on." Andy laughs.

Maya narrows her eyes "ANDY! I need help. Please, Carina will be here in like 30 minutes and I have no idea what to wear. I just... I want to wow her." She admits quietly.

Andy smiles "Maya - you could wear a trash bag and you would wow her, she is so into you it's sickening, really. How you look is not what you guys need to work on." Andy says, realising all too late that, that might not have been a helpful comment to make.

Maya sighs, "Yeah... you're right."

"Maya, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that, don't get in your head. Go back to being over excited and nervous about what to wear. You will be fine." Andy says worriedly.

Maya shrugs "I mean what you said is true but I'm really trying to keep calm about it. We both know we at least want to try... And honestly after the other night. God, all I can think about is kissing her again." Maya smiles dreamily.

Andy smirks "you ok there Mai?!" As Maya seems to zone out, a ridiculous look on her face.

"Huh?" She shakes her head, focusing on Andy.

"Jeez, the kiss the other night THAT good?" Andy asks laughing, expecting Maya to drop it in embarrassment, what she didn't expect was Maya to smile widely at her.

"Andy, it was so hot, she's so hot. That woman... wow. She's just..." She trails off goofily. Andy rolls her eyes at her and laughs.

"Alright horndog, go get dressed before the goddess herself appears." Andy winks, as Maya trots off happily back to her bedroom to get ready.

By the time there is a knock on the door Andy is long gone with Maya insisting it would be weird for her to be there when Carina arrives to pick her up. She already feels weird that Carina is the one doing the picking up, feeling like it should be her.

But Carina insisted. She wants Maya to know she is putting in effort, into the prospect of them being together again and that she is working on things too - for them.

Maya opens the door with a smile on her lips, as Carina stands smiling back at her "hey" Carina says.

Maya beams back at her, nose crinkling slightly "hey yourself, you look amazing." Carina smiles and leans in placing a soft kiss on Maya's cheek.

"Thank you bella, you too. Are you ready to go?" Carina asks.

Maya nods, grabbing her keys and jacket as they turn and walk down the hall, Maya pulling her door closed behind her, and following Carina, making no effort to lift her gaze from where it is fixed on Carina's ass as it sways slightly with each step.

As they climb into the car Maya turns to Carina "so, where are we going?"

Carina smiles, "It's a surprise, I want our first date do over to be a surprise." she tells her.

Maya smirks "Maybe this will be third time lucky" She laughs, looking at Carina who has a completely neutral expression on her face and doesn't laugh causing Maya to panic.

A split second is all it takes however for Carina to turn to Maya and let out a laugh. "Cute. But yes I hope it will be." She says.

Maya grins wider as she says "me too." Softly.

They eventually pull into the car park and Maya feels her heart race, the Thai place from all those months ago... The beginning of the end.

Carina parks the car as she says "I need to say something before we go in there, and that's IF we go in there. We can turn around and leave right now and go and get pizza." Carina says steadily, as Maya turns to look at her waiting to listen.
