When Akash lifted Banu off the ground, Banu blushed and hid her face by leaning towards his chest. The way his hands held her gently tickled her sides and created a warmth to her cheeks. Akash couldn't help but smile at the reactions of Banu. Being close to her tempted him to do many more things. But he refrained from touching her as he feared it would disturb their friendship.
He opened the door with his one hand and laid her carefully on his car backseat. Banu looked deep into his eyes when his hot breath spread on her face. Then, he opened the first aid box found inside his car and took the oilment. Banu broke the silence that engulfed them.
"Akash, I think I can manage it. Drop me off by the boutique."
Akash shook his head and placed her right foot on his lap.
"I know you won't stay idle after leaving you there. So, let me try to relieve your pain as much as I can," said he while gently applying the oilment on her ankle.
Banu hissed in pain for a few seconds before staring at him. She felt the warmth in her heart by the way he nursed her. While he was doing so, he got a call related to his work. He clicked the button on his wireless earphone to attend the call and spoke in a professional tone.
Then, he wiped his hands off the oilment using a wet wipe. All the while Banu stared at him. She gazed at how his eyes had a twinkle as he turned to looked at her. His lips curved into a captivate smile when he caught her staring at him. Banu shook her head and tried to hide her blush by turning her attention towards the view her window showed.
"Is it okay, now? Can we leave cause, you know?" Akash muttered to break the not-so-bad-but-embarrassing moment. Banu nodded at him before taking her feet from his lap. Akash did not want the moment to end but he had some important business to take care of by today.
Unable to bear the silence, he played one of his favorite music collection in his car. Banu don't usually listen to the genre of music but she found it soothing then. She was also aware of his sideways glance. With a chuckle, she raised a brow and signaled him to focus on the road.
After dropping her, Akash waited till she went inside and looked from the window upstairs. He waved at her before igniting his car and speeding off to complete his work.
Despite her assistant's teasing smile, she began to work on her pending orders and monitored the sales of the past week. When Kailash saw his daughter's face at next day morning, he noticed that she had a different glow to her face. She was strangley cheerful in everything she did. After a long time, he guessed the reason and felt peaceful that his daughter would be married to the right person.
For the following days, Akash and Banu were busy with their work allowing them no time for meeting in person. However, they spoke to each other for at least 30 minutes a day through phone calls or chats.
Kailash asked Akash to meet for dinner. But Banu had to travel to Hyderabad to colloborate with a popular firm. After ensuring her safety, he prepared various delicacies for Akash. After finishing off his work for the day, Akash joined him in completing the recipes in spite of Kailash's reluctance.
When Akash sat to have dinner, he received a call from Banu. His face brightened immediately and informed Kailash before taking the call. Banu started to blabber everything about the day and the place. Kailash checked his phone for any message or call from his daughter and smiled within him.
