the weather was pleasant so it didn't really bother savannah how she had to drive all across the city to her dad's house. beomgyu lived near the university so it wasn't a problem driving to his house to get her new sister.

the girl hopped in the car excitedly and waved a goodbye to beomgyu who was seeing her off. "have fun, haru" he said, chuckling at the giddy girl who was eager to say goodbye to him and tell savannah to start driving.

she radiated excitement and impatience as she kept rambling about wanting to see her new father. her own father had left his mother before even haru's birth. she wasn't sure if he was alive, but it didn't matter to her, as she had claimed.

the drive was long, but thanks to the younger's energy, there was never a dull moment. when she wasn't talking, she was singing along to the songs she knew, when she wasn't singing, she was dancing to unfamiliar beats.

savannah was glad to welcome a person with great spirits into her life again. she couldn't help but remember her very first friend around haru. the resemblance between their behavior made it hard for her not to. mira was someone who always stayed bright and optimistic. an outgoing and confident girl who always smiled at everyone.

savannah wasnt sure what went wrong and when. there was a part of her that wanted to go back to mira and start over- hoping maybe that same angel would greet her.

thanks to the happy virus next to her, the australian was outside of her childhood home in what felt like 10 minutes instead of the usual hour. using her spare key, she opened the door to the warmth of her home, her nostrils flared with the familiar smells of home-cooked meals as she led the ecstatic girl inside.

"hi dad," she greeted with a smile, entering the kitchen. caught off guard, the bald man jumped and dropped the wooden spoon in his hand.
"savvy, don't do that-" he stopped mid-sentence when he saw the younger girl behind his daughter
"haru! its so nice to see you kid, come sit- your mom is in the bathroom right now. she should be here soon."

haru bowed and returned the greeting, her cheeks red and smile wide as ever as she looked around the place.
"you have a very nice house" she commented

"girl, its your house too now," savannah winked at her and walked to the refrigerator, "want something to drink?"
"just some water would be nice"
"sure"

the figure at the door watched the interaction with a smile on her face. nobody had noticed jisoo's presence yet. she observed the scene that warmed her heart. in her mind, she had always imagined the warmth of having a complete family like this. the eldest woman finally decided to step inside and greet her daughters.

"hi girls," she said, her voice made haru jump up from her chair and into her arms
"mom! its been so long"

"hi jisoo," the Australian girl waved with a soft smile but the woman playfully rolled her eyes
"i told you to call me mom, savannah. come give me a hug."

it had been a while since savannah had felt a motherly embrace. and jisoo's arms were so welcoming- they almost triggered tears. thankfully, her dad interrupted the moment and pulled her out of her thoughts.

"the food's done- let's eat while it's hot. then we can watch a movie or something."

"you really won't stay the night?" haru pouted and leaned her head into savannah's arm as they were cuddled up on the couch. the older ruffled her hair and chuckled at her clingy instincts. she found her cute.

"i can't, i have to get back to work on an assignment and i have classes tomorrow, too. I'm sorry- you can sleep in my room, though. i hope dad kept it clean"

the younger just groaned and slowly stood up and stretched, "we should have a sleepover sometime too- with all the girls. i think it'd be fun!"
"we really should- I'm sure they'll all be down for it too"
"... do you really have to go?"

savannah sighed, grabbing her things. their parents had already excused themselves to sleep at 10 pm- the clock almost ticking closer to 12 now.

"i have to, haru. I'll try visiting tomorrow but i think I won't be able to. I'll see you at the basketball game at Friday though, i promise." she held out her pinky which the younger interlocked with her own with a smile
"okay, then.. drive home safe, sav"
"i will, goodnight haru"
"night-night!"
