for seeing off just one person, the crowd at the airport was insane.
it was savannah's parents, her friends, beomgyu's parents and his friends. all of them gathered to greet haru, who was going back to canada that day.
"I'm gonna miss you guys so much, I promise I'll try to be back soon." haru embraced beomgyu's parents who were in a rush to leave as they had another place to get to soon. they greeted her quickly and left, saying goodbye to the large group of friends at the airport.
haru then moved on to her own parents, embracing jisoo in a tight hug for quite some time before breaking it off. "let me know how the wedding preps go, okay? keep me updated." "ofcourse I will, you're my maid of honor after all," the woman winked and rubbed her daughter's arm.
while her sister moved to say her goodbyes to her father, savannah's eyes drifted off to her own group of friends engaged in a heated debate about butts yet again.
"guys, we're at an airport for fuck's sake, can you please be normal for 10 minutes?!" savannah heard heejin scold her friends, but her words were ignored as the group only bickered louder.
"what an insane bunch," haru said, putting her hand on savannah's shoulder and looking at the invested young adults, "I'm gonna miss them- and you"
the older smiled and pulled the younger into a hug, "I'm gonna miss you too, haru. any idea when you'll be back again?" "I don't know, maybe at the wedding or maybe before it but I'll try to visit one before too"
"step aside, let me say goodbye to my girlfriend!" beomgyu announced, cutting between the sisters, "so incestuous of you guys!" "we were literally just hugging- god forbid women embrace eachother."
"i can't believe you guys are doing karaoke without me tonight," haru pouted, "couldn't we do it last night or something?" "haru, you were the one who denied it because you said you wanted to relax on your last day." huening argued
the girl just rolled her eyes, "I'll be there in spirit I guess" seohyun nudged her arm, "don't be too sad, our finals are like a few days away. our misery starts soon, too."
"i can't believe I've been in university for a year already," seorin sighed, "i feel old." "girl, it's my last year here and I don't even know what I'm gonna do when it's over" savannah groaned, "should've planned my life out when i was in the womb"
the group indulged in a conversation about how they were unsure about their futures as well; after all, you never know what could happen.
sooner or later, it was time for haru to say her final final goodbyes. savannah felt a bittersweet feeling sitr up inside of her as she watched her sister walk away. it felt surreal how she was finally getting a sister after spending her entire innocence asking her parents for one.
"okay then, let's head out to our karaoke sesh!" meihui said, breaking the silence that loomed over the group as haru disappeared "you kids have fun, be responsible and no drunk driving" jisoo warned the young adults who responded with okay-s.
all hell broke lose when the group finally began their night out.
