mark thought he had hit a jackpot when he had found mira at university. it was only his first year and he felt lucky to have found her.

she was nice to him.
she showed his affection.
she loved him.
aaaand then she went ahead and cheated on him with a jerk.

mark wouldn't have known, hadn't it been for savannah. the girl was a god-sent. some would argue that she was a goddess herself.

mark didn't know much about savannah except she was mira's best friend. and she was the girl who told mark about mira's actions.
mark vowed to never fall in love again after that.

fate had different plans.

savannah was on a journey of healing from a life of hardship, thinking she had made friends with an angel who'd make it easier.
but her friend seeked pleasure in breaking hearts.

savannah wasn't stupid, she had decency. ofcourse she'd tell Mira's boyfriend about her cheating on him!
besides, it wasn't like she'd see him ever again.

... okay maybe they met again but it was through mutual friends and it wasn't intentional.
and maybe they grew close and had spilled a few secrets here and there but it wasn't like savannah was going to fall for mark lee.

she had learnt her lesson.
so had he.

or so they both thought.

you see, the world worked in mysterious ways and tied the most unexpected people together. but boy, was it good at putting together two broken hearts to merge.
