mark lee was quite the forgetful type; hence they reason why he was on his way to the study room to get his phone charger at almost midnight.

theres was an eery pit in his stomach. it was dark outside and the hallways were empty. there were only a few study rooms lit up and locked with the young adults pulling all nighters.

the one in which he had left his charger, was lit up as well. it was useless trying to figure out who was inside seeing as the window on the door was frosted. mark decided to just walk in, retrieve his charger and leave while apologizing.

ofcourse, things don't always go as you planned them in your head. especially when something unexpected happens. that something unexpected was a savannah glued to her sketchbook, bent down and posture like a shrimp as she immeresed herself completely in her work.

she failed to notice the canadian's presence when he silently entered the room. she missed the widening of his eyes as he realised that the room was occupied by his own friend.

"yo, sav?"

that made the focused girl look up at meet eyes with the boy who was now standing right infront of her.

"oh hey mark" she greeted back, "did you need something?"

he looked around the room but couldn't find the item he was searching for.
"actually, i forgot my charger in here earlier today. have you seen it by any chance?"

the girl lit up at the mention and reached inside her bag, "i have! i saw you wrote your name on the adapter so i was gonna give it to you whenever i saw you."

she pulled out the wire and handed it to the boy who stood in his place, unmoving.

he was contemplating whether or not to ask her about her concerning behaviour. he had a feeling he knew what was up, but he couldn't be too sure.

"mark? do you... need something else?" the girl questioned again, this time with a frown at the look of worry on mark's face
"are you okay, ana?"

he question she was asked so often that day, but it caught her off gaurd coming from him.

"I'm..fine, mark. is everything okay-"
"is everything okay with you?"

the room fell quiet.

for a second, savannah actually considered telling him everything on her mind. just so she could get it off her chest and have a shoulder to lean on.

but she soon remembered her reasons not to. she barely knew him personally, for all she knew mark was only initiating conversations with her because they had the same girl in their past.

"I'm.. everything is fine with me, Mark. I'm just.. designing the dress for haru's mom for our parents' wedding. i couldn't get it done earlier so..yeah" she muttered, breaking the eye contact and glancing at the sketch book which indeed, displayed a sketch of a wedding dress.

mark wasn't convinced one bit. but deciding not to push boundaries, he didn't pry further and just nodded. he put a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it.

"just..take care of yourself, okay? get enough sleep and drink water. I really worry about you, we all do, ana." he gave her a small smile before walking out of the study room, leaving her mind in a hurricane of her thoughts.
