Anniversary Part 1: Poem

~3 days later...

~Aqua's POV~

I was inside of the bar cleaning up the table. I was pretty excited about today. So I was cleaning up Husky's bar to surprise him.

"Hey Husk, can I get a huh? Aqua? What are you doing in there?" Angel chuckled. "Are you the new bartender too?"

I giggled. "No. I thought I would organize Husky's drinks to surprise him. In alphabetical order."

He looked. "Huh, he'll be confused."

"Probably. Probably not. But at least it'll put a smile on his face. Do you know what day it is today?"

"Thursday?"

"Well, yes it is Thursday but... today has marked 6 months since I've arrived here in Hell. Plus 3 days in meeting you all."

"That's right. And it's the day that we first met too." he smiled.

"And you're the first boy I met too."

"Hehe yeah."

"I have a present for you."

"Aww bestie. You shouldn't have."

"I already gave everybody else their presents. It's just you and Husky left." I said as I took out a small gift box from my chest fur. "Here you go love."

Angel took it and opened the box. "Aww a bracelet for me?" he asked as he took out a pink charm bracelet.

"Yeah. I have one too so we match." I said as I showed him the matching one in blue that was placed on my wrist.

"I love it." he hugged me. "Thank you bestie."

I smiled and hugged him back. "You're welcome my dear arachnid."

After he pulled away, I was already done organizing the bar. "Well, that oughta do it. Just wanna give this to him." I said as I took out a big bottle of booze from my chest fur.

"Damn that's a giant bottle of booze. I like the ribbon for an added touch."

"Thanks. I hope he likes it." I said.

"Legs, where are you?" Husky called out.

"Sounds like he's looking for you." Angel said.

"Ooh, I'll hide under here." I said.

"Good idea. I'll lure him over here toots." Angel said.

"Okay." I said as I hid under the table.

~Husky's POV~

"I'm over here Whiskers." Angel called out to me.

"Oh. You wanted a drink?" I asked him as I made it to the bar. Then I noticed a big bottle of booze with a blue ribbon on it. "Well hello gorgeous~ Where did you come from~?" I said as I brought the bottle close to me.

"It was just standing there, waiting for you to drink it all~" Angel said.

"Interesting." I said as I looked at the bottle. "Hey, there's a note." I took it out from the top of the bottle and opened it.

"What's it say?"

"A poem." I squinted my eyes. "Ugh, I can't read this." I said as I took out my reading glasses and saw some words on it.

"Well? What does it say? Don't leave me on a cliffhanger!"

"Okay calm down." I said as I started reading the note.

'From the first time we met, 6 months ago. But also 3 days but you know the flow. And to think a black eye did the trick. So I helped you and that also did the trick. Good, bad, and neutral times were there. But in the end... I would always care. To be or not to be, that is the question. I always lean on your shoulder, which I wanted to rest in.'

"Damn there's still more." I kept reading.

'Your wings are red, like rubies or blood. And your fur is black and white in which the colors I loved. Your paws and eyes are gold like stars in the sky. And in the starry night sky, I watch to see you fly. As your mermaid, and what come may be. Happy 6 months and happy anniversary. Love your girl, Aquamarine.'

I smiled. "Damn that girl really knows how to make a grumpy cat smile." I said as I opened the bottle with the ribbon. "I'm very lucky to have her."

"Then why don't you do something for her?" Angel said.

"Damn. I don't know what to do for her. Remember, I've been out of the dating game for a while." I said.

"Well for now, you gotta treat her like a queen. I know what you can do."

"Like what?"

"You can both try a spa day together."

"A spa day huh? Think Charlie will let me use the spa room?"

"Hell yeah she would!"

"Hmm, okay. Maybe I should ask Charlie." I smiled.

"Okay. So can I get a drink?" he asked me.

"Sure." I said as I turned around. "What the? The bar, it looks so clean." I said. "And the drinks are all in order."

Angel chuckled. "ABC Order to be exact."

"Who did this? I'm impressed." I smiled.

"I did." a voice said.

"Angel?" I looked at him.

"Not me." he chuckled and shook his head as he leaves with his drink.

"I'm down here." the voice called out again.

I looked under the table to see no one other than my other half. "Oh you sneaky girl~" I chuckled and brought her out of there. "So this is your work here after all~" I said as I sat her down on the bar.

"Yep. That's me." she wagged her tail.

I wrapped my paws onto her waist. "Thank you for cleaning my bar. And the booze with the poem. I loved it."

"You're welcome Husky." she wagged her tail a lot.

"So babe, I would like to take you on a spa day. Just me and you."

"Spa day? For our anniversary? Just like back at my sleepover party?"

"Yeah. And after this we can do whatever we want."

"Whatever we want?"

"Whatever we want."

"Okay. That sounds like fun." she wagged her tail.

"Good. Did you eat breakfast yet?"

"Since 6 in the morning."

"That early?" I raised an eyebrow.

"As a Puerto Rico woman, we get up super early. Maybe even before the sun rises up."

"So what have you been doing all this morning?"

"Well let's see, I woke up to see the sunrise. Then I went for a swim. Made myself breakfast. Did some sewing work. And then lastly I cleaned up your bar."

"Wow. You did a lot in one morning." I smiled. "You deserve a day off." I kissed her cheek.

"Maybe I do. And you too."

I chuckled. "Okay. Me too."

"Hey Husky?"

"Yes?"

"I love you."

"And I love you too, my beautiful latina. Te quiero mucho."

"Ooh~" she giggled softly. "Te quiero mucho mas."

I laughed as I pressed my lips against hers, knowing that I found the true love I was looking for.
