Egg Boys and Sir Pennie

~Akira's POV~

~2 days later...

Arriving at this new hotel was a little scary for me... But thanks to Aqua and her friends, I was starting to like living here. I even started working here as a maid.

One day, I was sitting at the dining table with Aqua and Rachel. We were having a snack together.

"So Akira, do you know how you died?" Rachel asked me.

"Yeah. I was basically depressed all my life. I thought I would be happy if I did some drugs. Then... I drowned in my own bathtub." I said.

"That's awful. And for someone at your age, that had to be hard."

"Yeah. I was upset about it too. But Akira, you're not alone." Aqua laid a paw on my shoulder. "You're with us now."

"I know." I nodded. "And I really appreciate it." I smiled a bit, but then I frowned again.

"She looks unhappy sis." Rachel said.

"Poor darling. Hmm..." Aqua was thinking. "Ah! I know who can cheer her up. Frank!"

"Yes Miss Aqua? You called me?" a small walking and talking egg came up to her.

"Whoa. Talking egg." I said.

"I want you to get your boss for me. I'll need his help with someone."

"Okay!" he told her as he walked out of the dining room.

"Whoa. Was that a walking and talking egg man?" I asked Aqua.

"Yeah. That was Frank. He belongs to Sir Pennie. He's basically one of his errand boys."

"Oh wow. It's like he's out of a cartoon or something."

"Trust me, I was a little freaked out when I first met Frank and the other boys. But they're good eggs. They don't just do Sir Pennie's biding, but they also look after us."

"They watched me while I was pregnant with my boy Alucard and my girl Lydia." Rachel said.

"And now they're watching me and my kittens." Aqua rubbed her tummy. "You'll like Sir Pennie, he's a pretty cool guy to be with."

I was relieved to hear them clarify the brand new information I was fed. But I was confused about why Aqua told that little egg guy to bring his boss. But I shrugged my shoulders and finished eating my snack. Then I was drinking a chocolate milkshake.

"I've brought him Miss Aqua!" the egg man said as he walked in. And right behind him came a giant snake man.

I gasped and then coughed out my milkshake. "Ah!" I chucked and held my own neck.

"Akira!" Aqua panicked a bit.

"Oh my! I've got thisss!" the snake man said as he started patting my back.

"Ugh, t-thanks. S-Snake man." I looked at him as I was taking in a few breaths.

"You're welcome. Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." I cleared my throat a bit.

"Man Akira. You've got to be more careful!" Rachel said.

"Sorry."

"That's okay. I'm glad that you're okay."

"Thanks."

"Thank goodness Sir Pennie saved you. Thanks Sir." Aqua thanked the snake man.

"Yeah. Thanks again snake man."

"You're welcome my dear." the snake man said and then he looked back at Aqua. "Misss Aqua, what do you need me for? I wasss busssy with work."

"I know. But I would like for you to spend some time with Akira here. She's new and still a little uneasy."
