Lies

~Rachel's POV~

After I saw Aqua leaving the hotel, I was in panic mode. "Boys! We have a problem!"

"What's wrong my love?" Alastor approached me while he was with Alucard.

"Is everything okay?" Lucifer asked as he came over as well.

"Uhh... remember when Husker took the kittens to the casino?"

"Yeah?" they agreed.

"Well, I told Aqua that he was at the daycare playground and... she's going there. But he's not really there!"

"Oh dear." Alastor covered his mouth.

"What?! That's what he's been doing this whole time with my godbabies?!" Angel gasped.

"Okay now that's just messed up." Gunpowder said.

"I know!" I panicked.

"If Aqua finds out, she'll slit our throats at night." Lucifer gulped as he held his own throat. "I'm not gonna sleep at all tonight."

"Neither am I. But overall at this rate, we must bring him back home as soon as possible." Alastor said.

"Okay!" I said as I took out my phone and called Husker. "Come on... pick up..." I waited for him to pick up, but he wasn't answering. "Shit."

"What do we do?!" Angel panicked.

"I don't know! He's so dead... and I'm so dead! Uhh... maybe I could just say I don't know where he is."

"As if she'll believe it." Gunpowder said. "She's smarter than that."

"Dammit you're right."

"No wait! I got an idea!" Lucifer said.

"This better be good! I don't want my head on a silver platter!" Angel said.

"I'll summon a portal to the casino he's at!"

"Hurry!" I said.

"Okay! Okay!" Lucifer said as he summoned a portal and it showed us Husker gambling.

"What the fuck?!" I said.

Inside the portal I saw Husker in a suit and he was gambling against 3 sinners. The kittens were playing on the other gambling table with the poker chips. To be honest, that was a very irresponsible sight to see. But it would be even worst if Aqua did find out that Husker was actually getting his Overlord status back.

"My godbabies!" Angel yelled out.

"Huh? What?" Husker looked around and saw us. "The fuck?! Guys! What are you doing here?"

"Cat man, you need to get your ass home right now!" Lucifer said.

"Sis is outside looking for you!" I said.

"Your wifey's gonna have all of our heads!" Gunpowder said.

"Oh shit! Let's go!" Husk said as he grabbed the kittens and jumped into the portal which brought him back into the hotel.

"Thank god." I sighed in relief.

"Help me out of this tux!" Husk said.

"What are we supposed to let you wear?! Your birthday suit?!" Angel asked. "Hehe, birthday suit~"

"Not now Legs!"

"I got it!" Lucifer snapped his fingers and his clothes changed.

But I ended up laughing at what he was wearing. Husk was wearing a maid outfit. We all ended up laughing at him. Even the babies were giggling.

"The fuck Lucifer?! Get me outta this outfit!" Husk growled as he blushed.

"Sorry! Sorry!" he laughed. "I need a moment!"

I was still laughing that Lucifer changed Husker's clothes. My ears perked up as I heard the front door being slammed open.

"Sis!" Aqua cried out and ran to me. "Sis!!"

"Oh god Aqua." I ran over to her and hugged her. She felt wet and I looked outside to see that it was raining cats and dogs out there. "You're all wet."

"Sis..." she sniffled and looked up to me. It looked like she was crying. Her eyes were red and puffy. "I-I can't find them anywhere."

"Whoa. Calm down. It's okay." I said nervously.

"No! It's not okay!" she sniffled more. "I found this near the daycare playground." she said as she was holding up a golden ace card.

"What's that?"

"This is Husky's family brooch! It was on the ground!" she said as tears were streaming down her cheeks. "A-And then it started raining! And I couldn't smell him or my babies!"

"Shh, it's okay sis. Just take it easy. You'll have a panic attack." I said as I rubbed her arms, trying to keep her warm.

"But where are they?! I think Slaughter might've got to them!" she cried out even harder.

I hugged her pretty tightly. I felt a huge knot in my throat and tried to gulp it down, but it was still there. I'd hate to see my soul sister like this. And I'd hate myself even more for lying to her about what was really happening.

"Where are they?! Where are they?!" she kept crying out.

"Sis... I..." I started.

"I'm over here babe." Husker said at last. Even though he was still in the maid outfit Lucifer summoned for him.

"Huh?" she turned around to see her love. "HUSKY!!!" she cried out and pulled back from my embrace and ran over to tackle him to the floor to hug him. "Thank god!!!" she cried out.

"It's okay babe. Ouch, my back." Husker hugged her and rubbed her back. "You're all wet."

"I was worried sick! You scared the literal shit out of me! Uhh, why are you wearing a maid's outfit?"

"Uhh..."

"He was playing dress up with the babies!" I said.

"Yeah. I was."

After I saw the two lovers comforting each other, I was in true relief that everything was okay. But deep down, I wasn't okay. I hated to have to lie to my soul sister about Husker's true intention. I walked over to the side and saw Alastor coming towards me.

"Alastor..."

"Shh, it's okay my love. I know you don't like lying to your soul sister."

"I really don't... and I feel really bad doing this to her. I don't want her to get mad at me."

"I know you don't. It may not be easy once we're ready to tell her the truth. But it really is better to release the truth than to have it bottled up inside."

"You're right honey. Just like what I have to tell Lucifer. About the past."

"The past with Slaughter?"

"Yeah. He deserves to know. I can't hold onto it forever."

"I know. But I'm sure he'll understand everything once you tell him and I'm absolute sure that he'll be very supportive of your choice of words."

"Thanks honey."

"That's my woman." he kissed my cheek and went over to the children.

I smiled knowing that I was able to keep Husker's secret a secret once again. But I still felt pretty bad for having to lie to Aqua about it. And to be honest, I don't want to lie to her anymore. I just don't want her to get mad at me. But let's see how long this secret will unravel.
