As the flight progressed, Kiran found herself dozing off on Madhav's shoulder. He noticed her tired expression and gently removed her glasses, studying her face with concern.

"Who the heck broke you so bad that you haven't slept for the past two months?" he whispered. Kiran stirred at the unexpected question, nearly toppling off her seat.

Madhav quickly caught her by the waist, saving her from a clumsy fall. "Whoa there, don't go trying to escape from my interrogation just yet," he teased, flashing her a mischievous grin. "I need answers, and I won't let you escape that easily."

Kiran blinked, still slightly dazed from being startled awake. "Um, sorry, I guess I wasn't expecting the Spanish Inquisition," she replied with a nervous laugh, trying to regain her composure. "But seriously, it's nothing dramatic. Just your usual teenage drama, you know?"

Madhav raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Oh, come on. I may be your roommate, but I'm also a certified detective. I can smell drama from a mile away," he quipped, nudging her playfully. "Spill the beans, Kiran. I promise I won't judge... much."

Kiran's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "How on earth do you know all this?" she asked incredulously. Madhav leaned in conspiratorially, a mysterious glint in his eyes. "Ah, Kiran, my dear friend," he began dramatically, "that's because I possess the ancient and mystical power of mindreading."

Kiran's jaw dropped. "No way, mind reading? That's... that's a thing?" she exclaimed, her disbelief evident. Madhav nodded sagely. "Indeed, my dear Kiran. Everything you've heard about in the world, every myth, legend, and lore, it's all real. And not only that, but it has all happened before. We're just living through the cycles of the yugas, protected by the divine trinity."

Kiran stared at him in awe, her mind swirling with newfound wonder. "Wow, that's... that's incredible," she murmured, genuinely impressed by Madhav's wisdom. "I had no idea you were so knowledgeable about all this.

"Madhav flashed her a cryptic smile. "Well, Kiran, you never know what secrets someone might be hiding," he replied mysteriously, his eyes twinkling with hidden depths of knowledge. "But enough about me. Let's focus on making the most of our time at Sintarian School, shall we?"

Kiran couldn't help but chuckle at Madhav's comment. "You know, you might be onto something there," she admitted, feeling a warmth spread through her chest that she hadn't felt in a long time. "But hey, I'll let it slide this time. Just don't make a habit of it, okay?"Madhav grinned back at her, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Got it, Kiran. Your thoughts are safe with me... mostly," he replied, wagging his eyebrows playfully. Kiran rolled her eyes, but there was a genuine smile on her face.

"Thanks, Madhav. And yeah, about that whole mindreading thing, maybe let's keep it to a minimum unless I give you the green light," she said with a mock stern expression. Madhav chuckled, nodding in agreement.

"Deal. I promise not to invade your mental privacy without permission," he replied, holding up his hand as if taking an oath. As their conversation continued, Kiran found herself opening up to Madhav in a way she hadn't with anyone else since her breakup. There was something about his easygoing nature and genuine curiosity that put her at ease.

When Madhav asked about her ex, Kiran hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to share such personal details. But then she sighed and decided to take a leap of faith. "Sure, I can show you," she said softly, closing her eyes and summoning the image of Pragyan in her mind. Madhav's expression shifted as he observed the mental image, his eyes flickering with a mix of confusion and understanding.

"Wow, he looks... almost ethereal," he remarked, his tone tinged with respect. Kiran opened her eyes and met Madhav's gaze, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Yeah, he was something else," she admitted quietly. "But hey, enough about him. Let's focus on the present and making the most of our time at Sintarian School, okay?"
