Three Deadly Words

I love you he said as he whispered in her car

The words that she has never heard before

She looks into his eyes and all she can do is think about him

He looks deep into her eyes and all she can do is think about him

So he takes a breath and asks if she loves him

She cries and says I love you too and I have and always will

Even though he knows that he really didn't mean those three deadly words

He had to do something

She hugged and kissed him and repeated those words for her heart's content

Those three deadly words didn't mean a thing to him but to her a different story

He wished he had never even said them now he is guilty for doing so

She smiled and kept smiling till her cheeks hurt and said I love you

Again and again the words came out of her mouth as if that was all she knew

He repeated them for but he didn't mean them

Then that was all she could handle she cried tears of joy in his arms

Lost her virginity

He laughed on the inside

Wishing he had done this sooner

The next couple of weeks took on its disguise

The words that were said and exchanged

He knew they were fake but that was all he had to say and she was his

They said those three deadly words just a couple of times

And suddenly she was pregnant

The I love you's and the lets make love's stopped

He walked away

He wasn't ready for such responsibility

The next couple of years were living hell for her

As she saw her daughter everyday

She managed to spill out the words I love you to her

But deep down she couldn't help but feel a little hatred

She thought to herself every day and night why did she say those words to him

She looked at her beautiful daughter who now could spill the words

I love you Mommy

She sat with tears streaming her face

Those three deadly words turned from bad to good and she loved it that way
