Calabasas, CA

October

Xavier felt a sense of relief and anticipation as he pondered on the recent developments with Shay in such a short amount of time. Her signing the contract and him receiving updates on Jackson's health were positive steps forward in their journey. He admired her responsibility and consideration in waiting until November to move, prioritizing her grandfather's well-being and ensuring a smooth transition for both of them.

He understood and agreed; November would be a perfect time for her to move to California it was right before the holidays, gave him enough time to find the appropriate providers for her grandfather's care, and a suitable home for the two.

The thought of Shay finally being close by filled X with a sense of hope and excitement. He looked forward to having her nearby.

"This is so exciting!" Tahiri squealed as she followed the realtor around the house.

Tahiri's excitement added to the positive atmosphere, her energy infectious as they explored potential homes together. When Xavier got back from Miami Tahiri apologized for picking a fight and thanked him in more ways than one.

He appreciated her apology and commitment to the surrogacy process, understanding that their journey required mutual support and understanding.

As he returned from Miami, Xavier felt grateful for the progress they were making and the support system they had built around them. With Shay's move to California on the horizon and Tahiri's dedication to the surrogacy process, he knew that they were moving forward with confidence and unity.

"And on this level, we have the office and guest rooms" Sheryl, the seasoned realtor spoke. This was their fourth viewing and Xavier was beginning to worry they'd never find the perfect place.

The sound of Sheryl's high heels clinking against the floor and Ta's exaggerated oohs and aahs sounded the empty property, an incoming work call was the perfect save he excused himself to chat outside.

"Christmas must've came early cause look who finally answered the phone" Eric stated sarcastically.

Xavier stepped out of the property, grateful for the interruption of the work call, though he couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance at Eric's sarcastic remark.

Eric's laughter and the background noise made it clear that this wasn't going to be a private conversation, which added to Xavier's frustration. He hoped to keep his personal and professional lives separate

"Hey, Eric," Xavier replied evenly, trying to maintain a professional tone despite the teasing. "Sorry I missed your call earlier. I'm in the middle of something at the moment."

Eric Mosley managed a few artists including EST Gee they'd been trying to book a studio session with Xavier for months but due to Erics legal troubles and X's hectic schedule they were never able to coordinate anything.

"Can we catch up later? I've got a few things I need to take care of," Xavier said, subtly signaling that he wanted to end the call and return to the property viewing with Sheryl and Tahiri.

Eric also had a wandering eye Peezy had caught him and Ta flirting on more than one occasion. Of course when X questioned his fiancé she blew up and called him insecure when he questioned Eric about it he waived him off he'd been weary of the manager ever since.
