Xavier's Home Studio

November

The women stared in awe at the grand home Xavier clearly made good use of his earnings and spared no expense on where he rested his head.

"Oh TT's baby won't know a damn thing about a roach or mouse they even have a wait staff" Ray mentioned motioning towards the butler standing by the entrance.

Jashae, amazed but not shocked nodded in approval there was no way one person could clean a place as big as this alone of course Tahiri hired help.

"Ms. Hill and Ms. Cardoso right this way Mr. Rice is expecting you"

There were portraits of the couple all through out the home the women even spotted a few family photos indicating that they definitely family oriented. Although she didn't have much say, Jashae loved the fact that the child she'd be carrying would have a much better childhood than her own. They'd have a chance at an abundant lifestyle with a two-parent household filled with love.

Knowing that she was contributing to creating a loving environment for a child made it all feel worthwhile and reassured her that she was making the right decision.

The soft linen smell was long gone the closer they got to the studio in the basement the stronger the weed smell got.

"P, can you put that shit out I told you the girls on the way and -

"And Shay can't be around the weed smoke it's bad for the baby. Damn, you already sound like some ones Father"

The girls snickered overhearing Peezy and X go back and forth.

"Mr. Rice your guest have arrived"

Peezy put his spliff out and began spraying the room down with Febreeze once the pair came into sight.

"Wassup baby mama, Ms. Cardosa" Peezy greeted

"Hey X, Rahmaud" Ray replied with a playful eyeroll

"Hey" Jashae replied, giving a small wave.

"Shay, sorry about the smoke. You wanna wait upstairs until it airs out?" Xavier offered, trying to address the awkwardness.

Peezy was right; X sounded just like somebody's daddy. "No, I'm okay. The smell doesn't bother me. What y'all working on?" Jashae asked, following Rays lead and sitting on a nearby sofa.

The home studio was like the cherry on top. The lights shone towards the booth like a stage, allowing the producer and company to watch the artist. Inside the booth, a comfortable dim light helped the artist focus on their lyrics and get in the zone.

Multiple keyboards, laptops, and various other engineering equipment brought the room to life. There was also a woman's touch, evident in the white couches, decorative flowers, and the glass shelf showcasing some of Xavier's awards and plaques.

"Just adding some finish touching to one of my songs I heard you like to write how much you charge for a verse?"

Her eyes widened at Peezys question she looked around the room for confirmation "Yes, this could help you pass the time. I know you're tired of just doing school work and going to appointments." Ray mentioned smiling from ear to ear

"R-really? You wanna work with me? I don't know what to say" Jashae was shocked generosity clearly ran in his friend group because both men seemed to have it.
