Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa went crazy when I told them what happened yesterday. We were settled in the middle of the school running field, which was open to students to chill during breaks. 

" Oh my god, it doesn't even feel real," Jennie giggles, groaning when Lisa nudges her and points towards the gates of the field. It was Jungkook, Yoongi, Jimin and.....Taehyung. Of course, they were coming our way. I grab the grass between my fingers tightly, suddenly aware of my weird sitting pose on the ground. 

Being the extrovert she is, Jennie springs up to meet Yoongi halfway. Lisa forcibly drags Rosé with her and they also stop Jimin and Jungkook halfway. Taehyung kept advancing towards me, and I'm still embarrassed about yesterday, I looked away and pretended that the third graders playing softball were very interesting and looked avidly at it. 

Taehyung drops down on the grass exactly in front of me.

Gosh, this is so awkward

He takes a deep breath, and I find myself not breathing. He was so close, that I was half hoping that my friends would pop out of nowhere and interrupt us, but they were smart, they already analyzed the situation. 

" Did you think about my question yesterday?" he asks, his voice weirdly deep like he's feeling a bunch of emotions in one second. Not knowing what to say, I nod. " You know those dreams right? Jisoo, I think they're not dreams they are memories," he says so matter-of-factly. I suck in a breath as I loop his fingers through mine. Shuddering a little at contact again. " I know," I say, smiling despite the situation. " I know," I repeat.

We looked into each other's eyes, and no words were needed. It was all simple, the universe had already decided our fate, and it was meant to be intertwined. Even though nothing still makes sense, the dreams, the diary. It was pretty clear we were endgame.

That was a small realization, enough for us to wrap our arms around each other and kiss, because nothing will ever make sense, and we don't want it to. We'll stay like this.

Belvoir, Riftan's Wing, 12:06 AM

Blood is gushing through my wound, the arrow is seriously poisoned, it's gone deep into my body, right through my ribs. 

Blood spilling through his mouth, Hyuntae starts laughing, which soon turns into painful coughs. 

I start crying, blood mixing with tears. The persons who fired the arrow are long gone, locking us inside. 

" My Father found out that I was trying to save you at the last moment," I say, smiling painfully with blood staining my teeth. Hyuntae nods, refusing to close his eyes, he wants to take in the last of me. " Ever heard of happy endings?" He says slowly, clutching both hands over the arrow deep in his chest. " I did, I dreamt of it," I say, staring at Hyuntae. 

" Do you believe in reincarnation?" I ask. The arrow is sinking deeper, and the poison is starting to work, I don't have much time. " Super dumb stuff, why do you ask?" he barks out a laugh, and blood splatters my face. " I'll be reincarnated with you, you know, get the happy ending you talk about,"

 I look through the window, Eden must be looking for me and Hyuntae. The event must be going on right now, Father must be happy, everyone is probably laughing and chatting in the event right now. 

The moon is looking really pretty tonight, as pretty as Hyuntae. 

I put my arms around Hyuntae and pressed against him gingerly. We let our lips meet, and the metallic taste of his blood and the sensation of his lips is all I remember before I'm shipped away to the afterlife.

Present

" So you both are official then?" Jungkook asks, eyeing me and Taehyung's entwined arms. " We were having a private moment," Taehyung mutters, I giggle, " We're official," I say, grinning at the surprise on Taehyung's face. My three friends start squealing, and start snapping pictures of us, " This is going to go viral on the school Snapchat," Jin smiles. 

Taehyung runs a hand through his hair, and I hug him, I feel so happy I could burst. I'm sure Taehyung feels the same way when he returns my hug. His smile isn't leaving his face and nor is mine. 

Yes, we're getting the happy ending after all.
