Chapter 16: The attack at the Summer Training Camp! Two more Androids appear!

Gohan: Aoyama, we need to talk.

Aoyama: Gohan?! What are you doing out here!

Gohan: I overheard the conversation you had with All For One.

Aoyama was at a loss for words. He was found out by Gohan of all people and now everyone in his school will find out and will most likely hate him especially his own classmates as he was the reason why the League of Villains knew their location at the USJ.

Gohan: Aoyama, why didn't you...

Aoyama: Before you finish, I know what I'm doing is wrong, and I'm sorry for not telling anyone, but I did it so my family wouldn't be in harms way.

Gohan: I understand, but it still doesn't add up for the reason you have a quirk he gave to you. Why?

Aoyama: It's because I'm hailed from a wealthy family but I was born Quirkless, so I develop an inferiority complex to other people, to the point of asking my parents why I was so different from everyone. So, not wanting me to suffer discrimination and wanting to support my dreams of being a hero, they managed to get in contact with All For One, who agreed to give me a Quirk. All For One transferred Navel Laser to me, but unfortunately, my body was not fit for the Quirk, which allowed the beams involuntarily leaked out from my belly.

To explain his incompatibility with the Quirk, Aoyama justifies himself by saying that it is due to a birth defect. Later, he received a special belt created especially for him to prevent his powers from leaking out, an item he would wear throughout his childhood.

Aoyama: Just as me and my family were living peacefully, All For One came to collect on the debt and forced me to abide by his commands. My parents and I were forced to work for him out of fear of retaliation for not doing so and threatening us with death if we were to betray him. With no choice but to become All For One's double agent, I never stopped feeling crushed by my guilt. As All For One instructed me to enroll at U.A. High School, as he heard rumors that All Might was going to teach there.

Gohan: ...

Aoyama: If you hate me, I understand, you should. After what I have put you all through, I couldn't blame you. Before entering UA, I hoped to make friends, but I never could since I couldn't find the confidence to act upon it. This is why sometimes you'll see me eating by myself than with the members of our class. But now it seems like I'll never make friends.

As tears started to come out, Gohan hugged Aoyama, which surprised him. Why is he hugging him? Wouldn't he be overwhelmed by anger from this.

Gohan: I'm sorry that you had to go through all that without anyone helping you. But don't worry, you're not alone anymore. I'm here to help you, and so will the rest of the class. Once you tell them everything, I'm sure they'll forgive you once they find out why you did it.

Aoyama: How can you be so sure?

Gohan: Because you guys never thought of me as a monster like Cell. When I showed my true power, everyone looked at me with awe and
even though I was the one who killed Cell and Cemull, all of you didn't treat me differently after that. And I don't think telling them why you did will make them hate you; if anything, they'll be furious that All For One was using your and your family for his goals.

Aoyama: But that's different. You saved the entire planet, and I could've killed our classmates if it weren't for you intervening. Face it, Gohan. I'm just a terrible villain.

Gohan: No, you're not! Just because you've committed a crime doesn't mean you can't redeem yourself. You can still be a hero, Aoyama!

Aoyama: I'm happy you think that, but it's too late for me, Gohan.
