The tree branches rattled as the wind blew through the trees on a blustery autumn night. It was late, so the neighborhood was nearly silent. A little boy kept his window cracked open, allowing the stars and the moon to accompany him with their gentle glow.

The little boy struggled to stay awake as he neared the end of the final chapter of the book. Although the book was meant for readers aged 16 and older due to its depictions of blood, violence, and frightening creatures, the little boy, being only three years old, couldn't actually read the text. Instead, he focused on examining the drawings of the monsters, captivated by the illustrations rather than frightened by them.

Just as the little boy was on the verge of drifting off to sleep, a sudden strong gust of wind blew through his window, causing the window frame to slam against the wall, nearly shattering the glass. The boy flinched at the sudden noise.

The little boy initially thought it was just the wind, but he soon realized he was mistaken as a red nebula- a large cloud of gas and dust in space where stars are born- drifted into his bedroom through the window.

"Wow..." The child gasped as he witnessed the shimmering red nebula smoke morphing into a human-shaped red silhouette.

"Hello there, little human. I'm Ruby," the silhouette introduced itself.

"Hello..." The little boy greeted the red glowing figure with a wave of his small palm, his lips slightly parted and eyes wide with wonder.

"You're so tiny and adorable," Ruby remarked with a chuckle, his voice filled with affection. "Thank you for freeing me from the book you're holding. Do you want three wishes to be granted?" The silhouette affectionately tousled the boy's hair.

The child eagerly nodded and exclaimed, "Yes, yes, yes! I want-"

Ruby placed a finger on the boy's lips, "But not yet, sweetheart. Your wishes can't be granted until you turn 18."

"Aww, not fair!" The little boy pouted, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Unless you're okay facing consequences-" The demon gestured gently with his nail towards the location of the little human's heart.

"What does 'consequences' mean?" The child inquired, the word sounding unfamiliar and too lengthy for him.

"You'll learn as we go, if you say 'I claim'."
