After returning to the mansion from Jongseong's cafe, Sunghoon had a conversation with Yeonjun to summarize his thoughts and talk about all that happened so far and how Sunghoon should continue the investigation. Yeonjun listened to him patiently and gave the investigator some advice and sometimes he cracked a joke here and there to lighten the tense moments.
A sudden knock muted the two men from talking. "Who is it?" Sunghoon asked as he swiftly closed the notebook app on his laptop, switching the screen to play a K-drama titled Beyond Evil, to make it seem less suspicious,
"It's me, Fuma," came as a response from the other side of the door. Acknowledging it was the guard of the mansion rather than some spooky spirits like that one burnt face-man, Sunghoon relaxed a little.
After Sunghoonn gave the head of the guards his permission to enter, with a polite demeanor, Fuma walked in.
"Hey, Sunghoon, have you finished packing?" Fuma questioned, glancing at Sunghoon's laptop screen.
"For what exactly?" Sunghoon mumbled, struggling to understand.
"Jake, you, and a few other workers passed yesterday's weapon test. You have been promoted to the position of one of Minhyuk's bodyguards. Have you already forgotten about it?" With a faint smile, Fuma questioned, seemingly surprised that Sunghoon could forget something important that quickly.
"Oh, that. Right..." Sunghoon answered in an attempt to appear casual. "So, what things do I have to pack?"
"Clothes will be enough- and maybe some skincare products," Fuma said with an awkward laugh. "Judging by your flawless skin, I suppose you need them." The remark made Sunghoon smile satisfied.
"Anyways, you will receive additional supplies in the greenhouse, located in the backyard," Fuma continued and added, "Along with everyone else who passed in the test, we'll be meeting uo there. Be there at the greenhouse in one and a half hours."
"Got it," Sunghoon said as Fuma left the investigator behind, leaving Sunghoon behind, alone left with his thoughts and the soft talking coming from the K-drama in the background. Sunghoon knew that whatever the secret project was about, it was going to bring him closer to the truth- and perhaps, even closer to danger.
