Maybe he just wasn't the right one

It had been a week since Robert left me. Week. All I was able to do was lie in bed and cry or eat chocolate and cry. Everything was worth shit. After a week, I finally decided that I would at least go to work to banish all dark thoughts. I got dressed, picked up and went.

It was perhaps even worse at work than at home. The fact that I wasn't there for a week didn't matter to everyone, he doesn't go there very often anyway. I collapsed on the couch in my office. I cried again. I felt like there was nothing else I could do at that moment. Suddenly someone opened the door.

"Sorry for bothering like this-"

“Yeah, you're annoying.” I didn't even bother looking at the person.

"Peter, is something wrong?" I wiped my eyes as best I could and finally turned around. Náhlik was standing behind me, squinting at me.

“Oh my god Peter, what happened to you?!” He ran towards me.

"I guess I don't want to tell you about it." I was lying there like a pile of misery. Meanwhile, Náhlik sat down next to me and grabbed my shoulders.

"Come on, you'll be relieved. It will get better, trust me.”

"Did you at least close the door behind you, that one relief?" At that, Náhlik got up and ran to close the door with rocket speed. He then ran back to the couch, where he settled back into his original position and grabbed my shoulders even more tightly.

"Well, tell me..." He looked almost into my soul. I told him almost everything. From the incident six years ago and our New Year's vacation (of course I withheld certain details so that he wouldn't immediately associate us with the murder) to Robert's hysterical outburst and our dramatic breakup. Even before I told him everything, I had time to cry (again). He suddenly pulled me close and hugged me.

"Come on Peter, he's not worth it to you. He was born a moron and will remain a moron. Stop worrying about him, you're better off." He stroked my head. I think no one has ever done that to me before in my life.

“Really?” I looked up at him.

"Seriously." He thrust into my French. I didn't fight back and started kissing him back. If I had known about this sooner, I would have gone to work the very morning after my breakup with Fic. He suddenly turned away from me.

"I have a trip to Venice booked for the summer. Are you going?"

"I'll be happy to go with you." He smiled at me, then got up and left. Danko burst into the office right after him, slamming the door behind him.

"What was that idiot Náhlik doing here?!" He launched at me.

"Andrej, what the fuck are you talking about!"

"Perhaps it's because you and Fic are almost engaged (if that's possible) and now you're going to get someone else here?"

"And why should I be engaged to Fic?! How could such a piece of shit even attack you?!

"That's not bullshit, just bare facts! Do you think I didn't read that heartbreaking letter after I found you frozen to death in the woods? You think I didn't see you staring at each other in that car when I drove you home from the Tatras?! You think I don't know he literally moved you into his house?!"

"But that's in the past! We are not together anymore! Now leave me alone!" I turned my back on him, which didn't help as he went to step in front of me.

“Peter if this is true... I can't believe it! After all, you two were so perfect for each other! You were like from a fairy tale! You like some lonely villager who was doomed to be alone forever until Robert, your horse on the white prince, came for you!”

"Andrej, isn't it the other way around? Isn't he a prince on a white horse?" Andrei thought.

"I would say no and it doesn't matter anyway. The meeting starts in a moment, so come on."

Fico:

Our meeting has begun. I sat cross-legged on the chair while Matovič, who happened to be sitting next to me, cursed me.

"Will you shut your mouth already?!" I barked at him.

"You mafia bitch! What do you have to order me?! I am the prime minister, the PRIME MINISTER! You can forget about that for a long time!"

He fucked me. Peter used to sit next to me. Whatever he was, he was always quiet and didn't remember much. But now there was this goblin in his place. It's only been a week. A week and something seems to be missing in me. Suddenly a paper appeared on my desk. Danko sent it to me from above. It said: "You screwed up." Before I could answer him, the meeting started. Matovič immediately ran to the counter.

"Dear! We are very happy to have gathered here in such numbers. At the same time, I am very grateful that our country finally has a decent prime minister. I know what time we are in, I know what time the world is in. Still, let me promise you, we can do it!"

What followed were exhausting hours of chatter from the deputies. The Chinese cold gradually reached us, so of course everyone had a compelling need to express themselves. I was about to leave when I noticed Pelle walking up to the counter. He looked the least bit stressed. Pretty tight.

"Dear-" he began. The last time I heard this voice was a week ago when he tried to convince me in vain not to leave him. I mean, he didn't even try to convince me. He just stood there like a log. So I left.

"I know that this time is and will be uncertain, it is something that no one expected. No one expected it, not even me. It may seem like the end of the world to some, and that's okay. I also thought a few days ago that my world was falling apart." He turned to me. "A few days ago I had a fight with a person. With a person whom I loved and he also loved me. the future and then he just used me. Everything we had fell apart overnight and I was left alone." He was still looking at me.,,But it's long gone, because today I saw again." He turned away from me and looked up somewhere. Exactly where he was sitting... Suddenly? Well, he's probably playing his ass, isn't he? "Today I found out that it doesn't matter with whom you have planned the future. It matters who is willing to live it with you. So don't worry, we will make it through."

After thunderous applause, Pelle pulled himself together and left. He quickly ran after him. And I stayed there alone.
