                               || ANVIKA'S POV ||

So, I arrived in Mumbai last night and now I'm holed up in this beautiful, calm hotel. I'm still in my wedding lehenga because, frankly, changing out of it seemed like too much effort. Right now, all I can think about is a hot, dark coffee. You know, the kind that makes you feel like a human again.

I don't drink tea. When I was little, Mum used to scare me and my sister by saying that tea makes you darker. No offense to tea lovers, but I'm not touching that stuff.

(Author's note: Classic Indian parent scare tactic to keep kids away from tea. Mine did it too! 😅)

though i like kulhad wali chai _ those clay cups smell heavenly, and that tea is to die for. But anyway, coffee is what I need right now.

So, I wobbled into the café, my lehenga trailing behind me like a royal train. I was so focused on getting my coffee that I didn't notice my long skirt getting tangled. Of course, my leg bumped into a chair, and all the coffee flew straight onto a man's expensive-looking clothes. Not that I can't afford it, but I definitely can't afford to stain someone else's outfit.

I would have slapped myself if I could, but reality check: I'm the one who's about to get slapped. I looked up and saw the man's face turning redder than a tomato. His eyes were blazing, and I felt like I was about to be struck by lightning.

He stood up abruptly, and his gaze softened, just a bit. But then reality hit me: I was in a wedding lehenga, looking like a circus act in the middle of a café.

In a panic, I started apologizing. "Sorry, sir! I didn't mean to—it was a mistake, I swear. Really, really sorry."

But he was still staring at me like I was an alien. I waved my hands in front of his face. "Excuse me, sir? Sir? Hello?"

Nothing. Just a vacant stare.

Feeling my frustration boil over, I hit his shoulder and pushed him slightly. "O hello, mister! Good morning! Back to Earth! Stop eye-raping me, you jerk!"

He looked at me, clearly baffled by my sudden outburst. Then his anger flared up again. "How dare you touch me? You ruined my clothes, my meeting, and now you're accusing me of eye-raping you?"

I was taken aback. "I didn't accuse you! I'm just apologizing!"

i have seen a lot of girls like falling on men to grab their atttention

and you ... you are even roaming in bridal cloths go claim anyone from here and warm their bed but don't boil blood .

"shut up" i growled

"Really? Then why are you dressed like a bride, roaming around like this?" he sneered, his finger tracing an imaginary line from my head to toe.

"None of your business," I snapped, trying to stay calm; a lone tear slipped my eyes

He grinned maliciously. "Oh, then let's talk about my business. You ruined my clothes and my meeting, so you owe me."

"It was a mistake. I've apologized already," I said, growing more frustrated.

"That's what I'm saying—pay me for the damage," he insisted.

"No, I won't," I shot back. "And who holds business meetings in a café?"

"This café is mine, actually. I do what I want," he said, placing his hand on my head.

My blood boiled. "Hands off, you moron! Get lost!"

I threw his hand away "And yah womens of you house might go whoring around warming other men's bed , my Parents have taught me well " , i retorted ; "and by how you were checking me out it seemed like you are the one ready to pounce on some girl"

With that, I stormed back to my hotel room, tears streaming down my face. I sat on the bed and cried like I'd never cried before. If I had been with my father or sister, they would have taken this guy down without a second thought.

I miss them so much. Dad always protected us from the harshness of the world. Without them, I felt completely alone.

I started having a panic attack, my body trembling uncontrollably. I curled up in a ball on the bed, crying hysterically until I finally fell asleep, exhausted.

When I woke up in the afternoon, I took a bath, but I still wasn't hungry. I hadn't eaten in two days, but food felt like a distant thought. I climbed back into bed and fell asleep again, hoping that tomorrow would bring a change.
