"Oh man," Dylan says sitting in front of the school reading the Mythic comic given to him by The Collector.
"Hey Dylan, you okay?" Tomas asks as he, Jasmine, and Ye-Lena walk up to him.
"If The Collector is right about Jesse, everyone is in danger: Humans, Blendeds, Mythics," Dylan says.
"Why?" Kev asks as he and Leanna join them.
"Jesse might be a Blended Wendigo," Dylan explains.
"A what?" Leanna asks.
"Wendigos, they are from Native American mythology, but not such a myth now," Kev says.
"Did you say Carmie is hanging out with a Wendigo?" A female voice comes from behind.
"Shapeshifter, what are you doing here?" Dylan asks.
"I came to see my daughter, where is she?"
"She has been hanging out with this really cute boy, but even I'm worried about her. She almost bit my head off," Leanna says.
"Huh, usually Vamplings don't have that power uless they choose to become Mythic," Shapeshifter states.
"She doesn't mean literally, she just means that Carmie yelled at her for no reason," Kev says.
"I'm a Banshian, I can help you find Carmie," Jasmine says.
"That would be great," Shapeshifter says.
Jasmine uses her hearing to find Carmie.
"Here, everyone put these in," Dylan passes out some earbuds to everyone except Leanna.
"What are these?" Shapeshifter asks.
"They are voice canceling earbuds, they will drown out the Wendigos voice control," Dylan says.
Everyone puts in the earbuds.
"Found her," Jasmine says after everyone puts the earbuds in.
"Let's go," Shapeshifter says.
They all follow Jasmine to the football field.
"Carmela, get away from that boy! No matter how cute he is," Shapeshifter yells at her daughter.
"Get everyone out of here, it says that Wendigos are cannibals," Dylan says.
"Meaning?" Leanna asks.
"They eat humans," Kev says.
"Got it," Leanna says as everyone splits up.
"It's Carmie," Jesse says.
"I know that, but when my daughter and Humans are in danger I will use her full name," Shapeshifter walks up to them.
"Shapeshifter, this is Jesse, Jesse, this is my birth mother," Carmie introduces them to each other.
"Carmela, I want you to go see Dylan, now," Shapeshifter says.
"Why?"
"Are you talking back? You know what I'm capable of," Shapeshifter tells her daughter.
Carmie walks away, leaving Shapeshifter and Jesse alone.
"I know what you are, what you're capable of, and I want you to stay away from my daughter," Shapeshifter says.
"I think that it is her choice who she wants to be around, and I think she has good taste if she wants to be with me," Jesse says.
"Watch it little boy, you are still Blended," Shapeshifter says before using her powers to leave.
