"We did it," Ye-Lena says.

"Yeah, thanks for the tool," Dylan says giving Jasmine her knife back.

"No problem," Jasmine says taking it back.

"I'll let Kev and Leanna know that it's safe," Amber says leaving the gym.

"Thanks," Tomas says for them.

"I hope that's the last time I have to play Buffy the Vampire Slayer," Dylan says.

"I don't think it will be, but you know the difference between the old you and the new you?" Carmie asks.

"What?"

"The old you captured Blendeds whether they were good or not," Carmie explains.

"I never thought of it like that," Dylan says.

"Maybe we should talk about this later," Jasmine suggests as the students start coming back in.

"Good idea," Carmie agrees.

"Carmie, so glad you're okay," Leanna runs up to her.

"Thanks to Dylan," Carmie says.

Carmie's face goes from a smile to a frown.

"What's wrong?" Ye-Lena asks.

"Every boy I have liked has only used me to get rid of Humans and have Mythics rule, what if I never find a boy who genuinely likes me?"

Kev pulls Dylan aside.

"You need to tell her," Kev says.

"Tell her what?" Dylan acts oblivious in order to avoid the rejection.

"Look, I know you're scared, nobody wants to be rejected. But, when we get older we regret the chances we didn't take. Plus, the skin says a blended relationship, it doesn't specify two Blendeds."

"You're right, let's go back," Dylan says.

The two boys walk back to join the group.

"Where did you guys go?" Carmie asks.

"Guy chat," Kev says.

"Carmie, you got a sec? I need to talk to you," Dylan says.

"Sure," Carmie agrees.

They walk out of the gym.

"Before you say anything, I need to thank you for saving me and not giving up on me."

"You're welcome," Dylan says.

"I can't see my life without you or our friends, but especially you," Carmie says.

"Same," Dylan smiles.

"Now, what is it you want to talk to me about?"

"Two things actually, I was going to show you this before but with you pushing us away to hang with Jesse I couldn't find the time," Dylan says taking out the skin and handing it to Carmie.

"I can't read this," Carmie gets a little frustrated.

"It's Banshee, and Jasmine translated it. It says 'A blended romance will bring peace to both sides'," Dylan says.

"So it's saying I have to fall in love with a Mythic," Carmie says.

"No, Kev thinks that the blended romance is between a Blended and Human," Dylan says.

"But what human would be okay with dating a Blended?"

"I would," Dylan whispers.

"What?"

"That's the second thing I need to talk to you about. Carmie, I've liked you since the day we met," Dylan starts.

"I've liked you too, even after I found out you were a Hunter," Carmie says.

"But, when Kev left and we were alone this past summer, I fell in love with you," Dylan says.

Carmie is quiet.

"I knew this was a bad idea and would ruin the friendship," Dylan says turning around.

Carmie uses her super speed and cuts Dylan off, stopping him in his tracks.

"That silence wasn't because what you said was awkward, that silence was from me looking back."

"What?"

"Dylan, I have been so blind, you were always there for me, you have never left me."

"And I won't start now," Dylan responds.

"Good, because after what you just said I realize I love you too," Carmie says before kissing him.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for that to happen," Dylan says after Carmie walks back.

Carmie smiles.

"We better get back to our friends," Dylan says.

"Good idea," Carmie says lacing her fingers in Dylan's.

They walk back into the gym where they see Kev and Leanna slow dancing.

"I guess I missed a lot when I was smitten by Jesse," Carmie says as they see Leanna kiss Kev.

"This is new to me too."

The song ends and Kev is holding hands with Leanna as they walk back to their friends.

"Did we miss something?" Leanna asks.

"You tell us, are you guys a couple now?" Carmie asks.

"Yeah, it happened over the summer, Leanna is no longer my manager," Kev says.

"Why didn't we see this on her social media?" Dylan asks.

"Kev asked me not to post it until he felt comfortable," Leanna says.

"And you agreed?" Carmie asks.

"Kev has helped me be a better person, a person who is nice to everyone not just Leanna Lifers," Leanna says.

"And what about you guys? Did we miss anything?" Kev asks.

"Well, you were right about the skin, it was me and Carmie," Dylan says.

"What skin?"

"A new prophecy came out of Dylan's notebook and it said 'A blended romance will bring peace to both sides'," Kev says.

"And the blended romance is between me and Dylan," Carmie says.

Leanna gives one of her I'm confused annoyed faces.

"Carmie and I together," Dylan explains as they hold their hands up.

"Finally!"

A familiar song starts to play.

"Well, looks like they are playing the first song we ever danced to," Carmie says.

"I still remember the moves, do you?"

"Of course," Carmie says pulling Dylan onto the dance floor.

"I guess they are truly meant to be together," Leanna says.

"If anyone, besides me, can make Carmie feel strong it's Dylan," Kev says as they watch their friends dance.

"Come on guys, join the party," Carmie says gesturing for them to come on the dance floor.

"Well, we can't argue with a Vampling whose mother is the most powerful Mythic," Kev says.

"He's right, let's go," Ye-Lena says finishing her drink.

"Promise me something," Carmie says looking at Dylan.

"Anything."

"Promise me that you won't give me up."

"I promise," Dylan says kissing Carmie.
