Dylan is sitting on the bleachers watching Carmie and Jesse.
"There you are, everyone is worried about you," Kev says sitting next to Dylan.
"Why? It's not like the girl I'm in love with is possibly being controlled by a very dangerous Mythic, and their relationship might be what the new skin is referring to."
"Okay, two questions. When did you fall in love with Carmie and what skin?"
"I fell in love with her over the summer, and I found another skin in my notebook, Jasmine translated it," Dylan gives the skin to Kev.
"What does it say?" Kev asks looking at it.
"A blended romance will bring peace to both sides."
"You know, it might not mean two Blendeds," Leanna joins them.
"What do you mean?"
"It doesn't specify what type of people will be in a relationship, it could be two Blendeds, a Mythic and Blended, or even a Blended and a Human."
"Well, it's not me, it's been months since she stopped talking to me, ever since I told her to put the earbuds in."
"That's the thing with Carmie, until she hears it from a person who knows their stuff, or the person themself or witnesses it she won't believe it," Kev says as he and Leanna sit next to him.
"I guess that's one of the things I love about her."
"Love about who?" Tomas asks as the Blendeds join them.
"Carmie," Kev says.
"I knew it," Ye-Lena says.
"I think we all knew it," Jasmine says.
"Yeah, it was kind of undeniable with the way you looked at her in the finale of the school play," Kev says.
"Kev is right," Leanna says.
"I wish she would just talk to me," Dylan says.
"You're a Helsing, you have captured so many Mythics and Blendeds, but you're afraid to go up to your first real friend and tell her how you feel," Leanna says in the tone she used in eighth grade.
"Leanna," Kev reins her back in.
"Sorry," Leanna apologizes.
"Don't worry, she's been shunning all of us," Jasmine says.
"Even me."
"It's amazing what love can do," Leanna says.
"Wait," Dylan grabs the comic book out of his bag.
"What is it?"
"Wendigos have the power of empathy, they feel love of a person and use it to lure their prey."
"What?" Kev grabs the comic.
"What does that mean exactly?" Leanna asks.
"He is going to eat Carmie," Jasmine says.
"Carmie can handle herself," Leanna says.
"Not against a Mythic that can basically wipe out the whole school, if Carmie gets eaten then the first prophecy won't come true," Kev says.
"I gotta think," Dylan says walking away.
"I hope Carmie doesn't go with Jesse to the dance," Leanna says.
"With Jesse being a Wendigo and having the ability to manipulate a person who is in love, I think she might," Kev says.
