The next day it's raining when I wake up. I don't smell any food downstairs so I assume that Landon neglected to make any, but when I check my clock I see that it's only 7:25 am. I get up and get ready for the day, knowing that I won't be able to go back to sleep at this point.

After pulling my hair into a messy ponytail and throwing on a romper, I walk downstairs and start making coffee. I am about to pour some into my favorite mug when I feel hands wrap around me from behind. I glance up to see Landon's familiar blonde curls and he hugs me tighter.
"Good morning, " I grin at him, sipping my coffee. I'm still in his grip but I turn towards his tan, bare chest and set the cup on the table, "How did you sleep?".

"It would've been a lot better if you were there," His teeth gleaming at me.
"I agree," I say, hugging him. He is still sunburnt and I feel the heat of his chest radiate against me.

"So what do you have planned for us today?" I ask, immediately I am disappointed, just by the look on his face.
"Well, mom wants to visit her sister because she hasn't seen her in forever or whatever. She's dragging me along with her," He pets the hair away from my face, "She lives 2 hours away so we'll probably be gone all day. You should go see a movie with all of you friends, you know? It'd be better than moping about me being gone," He turns and sits on the kitchen counter.
I hop up next to him.
"And who said I'd be moping all day," I drink more of my coffee.
"Oh.. okay," He gets up and walks away in a pouting manner. Landon makes it halfway up the stairs before I give up the 'I don't care' act. I run after him and catch him at the top of the stairs, pulling his arm to turn him around.
"I was kidding. I'll definitely mo-" I'm cut off because he has pressed me to the wall and is kissing me. I sink into it, enjoying every second. That's when the bathroom door opens and a groggy Alana steps out, looking like a tornado went through her hair.
"Oh gross. Can't you lovebirds keep it down? You woke me up 3 hours earlier than I normally get up," And then she is gone, flopping herself onto my bed and curling back into a ball.

"How'd she know?"
"She's my best friend.. she knows everything without even asking," Landon kisses me one more time before saying that he better go wake his mom up.

-----

It isn't until about 12 that Alana finally gets up out of bed. I make us some soup for lunch and we go hit the beach, spending a good 5 hours tanning.

"I'm about to fall asleep. We should go home now," She says at 5:48. So we pack up our things and head home. Not long after we pull out I hear my phone ringing. It's Landon.

"Hi! Heading back soon I hope?" I greet him. I'm disappointed for a second time today as soon as I hear his deep breath.
"The weather out here is bad and my aunt won't let us leave. She's making us stay the night here.... but I will tell mom to leave early tomorrow morning. I promise. Sleep well tonight, maybe we can cuddle when I get back, okay?" I can almost hear the smile on his face. I smile in reply.
"Okay, see you tomorrow," and with that, I hang up.

-------

As soon as we get settled in after dinner and changed, we start getting ready for bed. Alana crashes before I do, and I start drifting off, which is when my phone starts vibrating.

"Hello?" I ask groggily, expecting a lonesome Landon wanting a midnight talk.
"Em!? Em, I need you to come over right now," I pull my phone from my ear. It's Bash. And it doesn't sound good, "Please, it's an emergency,". And my feet are moving before I realize it. I think about leaving a note for Alana just in case she wakes up but I'm sure I'll be back soon anyways.

10 minutes later I'm pulling into a driveway of a very big house that matches the address that he gave to me. Nothing appears wrong but I walk up to the house anyways.
