The next morning I wake and see that Alana has already gotten ready. "Good morning, Em."
she says.

"So are you going to tell me what happened between you and Bash or are you just going to keep it a secret?" She asks.

"It's too early for such harsh questions." I reply groggily. I roll out of bed anyways and walk to my phone as I open it I see that no one has talk to me while I was asleep. I close my phone and walk over to my closet pulling out a crop top and a high waisted skirt.

I walk to the bathroom where Alana has previously disappeared to and see her applying mascara again.

"Alright so, you and Bash are getting closer now or-" She asks. I cut her off abruptly.

"I kissed Hayden. Or.. Hayden kissed me. Either way, We kissed. And I'm freaking out Alana. FREAKING THE HELL OUT." I yell. I look at her and see that she smudged the mascara on her eyelid.

"You...you kissed him!? Holy shit, Em!" She is in disbelief.

"Yes! And I don't know if it is a mistake or not because I'm not sure how I feel about the whole situation and I'm freaking out I never thought that he would have these kind of feelings about me and I'm not sure that I have feelings about him in that way and I'm being forced to face it faster than I wanted to and I just need to get away before I have a panic attack. Alana help me... please." I realize that I didn't barely catch any breaths while telling her that, and by the time I finish I'm almost gasping. Alana looks at me surprised, her mouth open. She blankly stares at me.

"So you don't feel the same way about Hayden that he feels about you?"

"I don't know." I sigh. I rest my hands on the sink and look at Alana in the mirror.

"Well this is a mess," she says. I can't do anything but agree with her. I have no idea what to do.

"Do you have any advice for me?" I ask, sounding hopeless like a child. Alana looks at me and smiles sadly.

"I guess you'll just have to go with your gut," she suggests.
I sigh. As much as I hate it, Alana is right. I'll just need to go with my gut.

-------
An hour later we are driving around town trying to get to the mall. Alana is blasting her music as always and I put my phone on do not disturb so I don't have to deal with anybody. Today is the day for my thoughts.

As we pull into the mall parking lot I start loading my purse up and we get ready to leave the car.

We get out and start walking, surprisingly the mall is not as busy as it normally is. Almost to the doors, I feel a small rain drop hit my shoulder. Great. I think.

------

We walk around the mall for two hours and when we start to get hungry we decide to leave the mall and go to JavaBean. I get the same thing that I always do; a small sandwich with soup. Alana gets the same. We both get ice coffees and sit down at a table.

"So...well you and Hayden were sucking face last night I got Bash's number for you..do you want it?" I stare at her blankly.

"I mean I know you probably don't, but I'm pretty sure that since I gave yours to him he will probably be calling or texting you pretty soon, and I figured you'd want to know who it is if he does." She kind of smiles.

"You gave him my number?" I ask, mid sandwich bite.

"Yep!" She says, popping the P. She bites her sandwich and slurps her coffee.

"Well I guess." I say, handing her my phone.

"Good, because I already added him in your contacts while you were sleeping... you know, just in case." She grins.
