SE JIN
𝙄t's me & my laptop again. Mark hadn't spared a glance at me from this morning except answer those what I asked him. He said he will be eating from the canteen with his colleagues so I didn't even bother to prepare except for me.
I still haven't been able to overcome that incident. My phone had been buzzing with calls and texts from workers. I even tried to go out for shopping only to get hounded by paparazzi. Maybe that's why Jihyok told to work from home.
Loneliness lingered everywhere. In places where it was to be filled with laughter and love was replaced with eerie and giving cold shoulder. I decided to focus on the work that I had.
At least I could forget about the pain in that way.
MARK
"You alright man?" Young Min tapped my shoulder. "Do you think I'd be sane after all that news buzzing over the whole globe you dumb-" "Ok ok, my fault," he raised his arms, "at least shouldn't you. . . ask her the truth?"
"Min you saw the photos. They look real enough-" "And you just believe it as it is?!" I rubbed my forehead. This was the problem; I didn't know if I should believe her though I always try to convince myself that she'd never do it.
I waver easily; a con of me. Deep down I wanted to exclaim that those are all lies but then. . .
Even married couples do cheat on others, my conscience whispered.
Shut up.
"Mark I know I'm getting overboard but. . . try to talk out the matter between you guys. I mean- that woman is so in love with you which I've seen, how can you even think about her cheating on you?"
"I don't know Min but. . ." I pulled my hair in frustration, "I really don't know wtf should I do." He patted my back and I swear I could feel him looking at me in sympathy.

As I was about to start my car I heard my phone ding. I checked it.
+91-XXXX has sent you a message 💬
That was the same number which had sent me an anonymous text before. I opened it.

I kept it in the compartment and drove back home because everything was out of line already. Now I'd got another headache to deal with.
I got back soon and got inside the house heading upstairs. Se Jin's door was open. She had a stack of paper beside her while constantly typing. "Se Jin," she turned around from her laptop to face me: with that same expression which I saw in my nightmare.
I shuddered thinking about it. "We need to talk," I walked back to the living room and sat down. She came down and sat across from me looking down.
"About the photos. . ." I rubbed my palms together looking elsewhere. "I don't know if you'll believe me even if I explain myself," she looked up with an unreadable expression.
I felt my breathing being irregular.
It was as if I was seeing a humane version of my nightmare. Those same eyes looking lifeless, staring straight at me.
❝ Whatever happens you won't doubt me right? Will you still trust me? ❞
I don't know if I can Se Jin-ah.
