SE JIN

❝ 𝙄 understand but. . . are you that adamant to go to Mr Kang for handing over the project?" Jihyok hesitated, "you know that I can send Mr Kim-" "No Jihyok I. . . I'll be fine. It's not like the world will stop when I go out."

"Are you sure about that? I mean- will you be really fine?" He's right.

Will I be really fine?

"Trust me: I'm a tough woman," I heard Jihyok give out a deep sigh at the other end of the line. "Since you insist, I'll let this slide. Do notify me if you've any inconvenience k?" I hummed in response and he hung up.

I leaned back in the chair. I'm going to the university while the scandal is buzzing and the worst of it? I'll be seeing him. He had left early in the morning as usual of him.

I grabbed the keys and walked out closing the door behind me.

"Be safe Jagi."

I shook off all the memories and got inside, starting the engine then driving off. The ride too was a boring one: it was hard not to get lost in memories while speeding down the lane.

Pulling into the parking lot, I got out with the file in my hand. I took a deep breath.

You can do this Se Jin.

As I walked in, I was already aware of the dirty glances I got from people including the female students & teachers. I walked as nonchalant I could while heading straight to Mr Kang's office.

As I walked through the hallway, I saw him.

We were walking towards each other.

We reached real close only to get ignored by each other while walking past. And me? I'd be lying if I said I didn't hope for him to acknowledge me.

"I think he's just putting up that scowling face to hide his true feelings," Min said staring out to the garden, "Did he do something bad to you? If so then I'm ready to throw hands-" "Nothing bad happened. . . yet," I mumbled.

He flung a hand around me holding close,"I only hope that he'll reflect on himself. Just say the word if you want me to do some punches," he started punching the air as if fighting warrior intruders.

I chuckled, "You haven't changed a bit," he smiled as he pulled back dusting his shirt. "Thanks for the therapy session," we bumped our fists with each other. "That's what friends are for," he winked.

"And I'm glad to have a friend like that," I returned the same. "How'bout we head inside? Mr Kang asked whether you could join him for tea." "Sure," I shrugged. "Well then, I'll get going," he waved and went inside while I stayed back.

As I examined the building, from my periphery I could see someone looking at me from the top window. And I need not look to know who it was.
