Chapter 7: Revelations by the Moon's Light

The whole base was in complete silence, not a sign of any life form standing near. Everyone from the main team had gone to their rooms to rest except for one individual. The man in blue clothes was gazing at the stars taking in the beautiful sight of the dark sky together with the small lights that gave it life, he seemed to be contemplating something in his solitude, leaning against a wall on the roof of the base to have a better view of the place.

Just when he was deep in thought, a cold can of soda hit his cheek making him quickly react to take it before it fell down. Right after catching it, he noticed the second presence on the roof followed by the noise of another can of soda popping open.

"Mind if i stick around for a moment?" The voice, belonging to the second, feminine presence, asked for permission while the figure walked to his side regardless of what answer he planned to give, said figure being Amelia who went up to give him some company. Yusuru's response wasn't a negative answer at all, he simply gave her a nod and got to open his own drink. "You couldn't sleep either, Pillar?" Asked the woman with curiosity, leaning on the bars that kept them from falling down if anything went wrong.

"No, it's not like that, i just have a bit to think about..." Answered the Pillar, bringing his can up to his lips and taking a sip, surprisingly enough the drink wasn't any bad in taste...it tasted like orange, which wasn't what he expected of a futuristic place like this one. "Like what?" Asked Amelia in wonder, tilting her head to the side. "Well...Oka's on my mind, i can't imagine what she's going through while we relax here..." He replied with concern in his tone, trying to sound as laidback or neutral as he could, yet his tone betrayed him.

Amelia took a sip of her can, looking down to it when she was done to admire the contents. "But that's not all." He continued. "I spoke with End a bit, talked to him and to Cyte about my curiosity for the Pillars, but i didn't get a lot out of it." "Well, what keeps you from asking me?" Amelia quickly said with a welcoming smile on her face, winking an eye at him as if she was the most reliable one for these topics. In response Yusuru returned the smile before speaking again. "Then let me start with something that's bugging me. What is Hisako? Do you know about him?"

"Ah...him, huh." Her tone took a rather disappointed and annoyed turn, she didn't seem much in the mood to talk of him, still a question required an answer specially one as important as that one. "Hisako is one of the first four Pillars so he's really a big shot, meeting him was one of the highest honors- ah but that's not what you want to hear. I know a lot of him, what specifically do you want?" "His origin and why he turned to Corruption, if possible anything that defines him as a Pillar and how he became one." He was quick to answer, he knew from a start what he wanted to know, to which Amelia chuckled. "Sit down then, this will go for a bit."

The aviator moved her free hand up, doing a few movements as if she was typing on a screen like Cyte did, instead of a screen she made a few shapes on the air to explain as she spoke. "Hisako started as a human, we don't know a lot of him aside from what he told us...and it's not a lot. He became a Pillar after he was chosen by the Eterset, deeming him a strong candidate out of all and bringing him before the first Pillar, the Pillar of Knowledge. Though he never claimed his sword could speak." The shape took on the form of a book and a sword, simulating both the Pillar and Hisako. "So he was a human before, abandoning it to become a Pillar."

"What about his descent to Corruption?" Yusuru asked, eager to know more on the subject while paying attention to her words. "We don't know why he went that way, we don't even know what Corruption is, that's simply a name the Pillar of Knowledge gave it. I have my own theories, they're just guesses though...one of them is that he came across a force that made him too powerful to the point he forgot who he was, i like to believe he found Corruption but never accepted it, making him as evil as he is now." The shape vanished into particles, becoming nothing more than dust in the air to give an end to the spectacle. "After all Hisako was really kind to me and Cyte, he protected us and gave us his blessing, if not for him Cyte would be dead by now."
