Chapter 17

Lisa

"I bet they'll assume the engagement for us." Irene says thoughtfully while we are in the elevator going up to see Jisoo's apartment.

"I bet they'll explain why they separated." Seulgi challenges her.

"I bet Jisoo will introduce her new romance to us." I say and shrug "And you, Chaeng?"

"I don't care, I'm only interested in dinner." I start laughing when I hear my girlfriend.

"I doubt it, even more of a gossip the way you are." everyone starts laughing and the blonde slaps my arm.

"Idiot!" She crosses her arms and pouts. I approach her and squeeze her cheeks, filling her with quick kisses. "Okay, I forgive you for being stupid to me."

"God, you make me want to sick."Irene rolls her eyes and I start laughing.

"Anyway, let's see who will win this bet of ours." Seulgi says as soon as the elevator doors open and we walk towards the apartment door.

"Jisoo took so long to invite us, she's been living here for a few months." Rosé says while observing around us.

"I think the fact that she was a little obsessed with the musical did that to her." I say when I remember how boring and sad Jisoo was a few days ago "At least now we'll see if she's back to normal."

"You always defend Jisoo." my girlfriend scolds me and Seulgi rings the doorbell.

"She's my best friend, obviously I'm going to defend her." they look at me while I'm looking at the door, which when opened reveals who I didn't expect to see here "Jennie?!"

"Hey!" She has pink cheeks and gives a shy smile "Come in." the brunette steps aside to let us pass and I think we don't understand what she's doing in Jisoo's apartment.

The place is decorated in shades of blue, lilac and white. I stand in the middle of the room while the girls settle down, all lost and confused, and Jisoo comes walking down a hallway with a huge smile on her face.

"Girls, you're late!" she says as she hugs me "I missed you." Jisoo puts her arm around my waist and stares at all of us. I notice that Jennie has settled into one of the armchairs and is looking at her phone.

"So what's this all about?" Irene gets straight to the point. Something buzzes in what appears to be the kitchen and Jisoo looks at Jennie.

"Can you take the chicken out of the oven, please?" she pouts and the feline-eyed woman rolls her eyes, but gives a brief smile as she gets up towards the kitchen. Before Jisoo can continue talking, the doorbell rings again and she lets go of me to open the door, which turns out to be Bohyun and Hoyeon.

I stare at the girls without having any idea what's going on, but the newcomers enter hand in hand and Jisoo is smiling.

"Take a sit and get comfortable" my best friend says and looks at the kitchen. I sit next to Chaeng who snuggles next to me. I hear some noises in the kitchen and a short time later Jennie is back in the living room. Except for our group and Hoyeon, everyone seems strangely comfortable and calm, although Jennie seems a little anxious and restless "Is it good?!"

"I think so." the woman with feline eyes sits in one of the armchairs and Jisoo sits in the armchair next to her. Bohyun and Hoyeon are sitting on the love seat. The girls and I settled on the biggest couch.

"So?" my girlfriend says and I hold back the urge to laugh. Jisoo and Jennie look at each other strangely.

"Are you going to call a truce in your historic fight?" Irene lets out a little laugh and Jensoo gives a half smile.
