Jisoo
"What's going on?" I hear Jennie say while I'm standing in front of the mirror and staring at my ribs.
"I'm thinking about getting a tattoo on my rib." I say when observing my body.
"What?!" She jumps out of bed and walks towards me.
"Yes, I want to make a heart, what do you think?" I pout and turn to her who is closest.
"Where did this idea come from? You're scared to death of needles" the brunette says without looking away.
"Yesterday, on the beach, I saw some people with tattoos and I was thinking: why not get one too?"
"How big is the drawing you want to make?" Jennie rests her hand right on the spot I was staring at previously and I shiver at her soft touch.
"Small, as small as possible and just a thin line so I don't get so scared or feel so much pain." She opens a half smile and gets closer to me.
"I think it will be beautiful, we can look for recommendations for a reliable place around here to do it." my girlfriend says excitedly, making me smile "Or would you prefer to do it in Seoul?"
"It could be here, I'll see if Bona knows anyone." at the same moment Jennie's expression darkens and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Before I can open my mouth to question this sudden change I hear a knock on our bedroom door.
"Did you order room service?" the brunette moves away from me and walks towards the door.
"No, I didn't ask for anything." I look at the clock and it's almost lunch time. The plan was to have lunch and go to the beach. It's not possible that the girls are already rushing us.
"Jennie! You look so beautiful with this color combination." my mother's voice is present. What is she doing here?
"Good morning, Jennie." I hear my father.
"What are you doing here?" before I approach the door, the newcomers are already entering the room after hugging Jennie.
"What kind of education is this? That's not how I taught you." my mother scolds me and I let out a sigh.
"We wanted to rest and spend some family time, especially after finding out that your parents are here too, Jennie." my father says with a huge smile on his face and only now do I realize that he is only wearing shorts, a shirt, flip-flops and sunglasses. It's strange to see him like this and not in a suit or any other formal clothes.
"Why did only Jennie get a hug and not me?" I cross my arms as I approach the trio.
"Because she is polite." my mother says as if it were obvious and Jennie starts to laugh. I pout and they laugh before hugging me.
"How about if we all have lunch together to get closer? Afterwards you are free to do whatever you want." my father seems strangely excited.
"That's fine with me, we were going to have lunch and then go enjoy the beach." Jennie shrugs as she walks towards her beach bag "Come get your things, Jisoo."
"Can I take the things to make sandcastles? "I try to say quietly and I can feel my girlfriend rolling her eyes.
"Sometimes I think you are 5 years old." Jennie watches me from head to toe as she takes her bag and checks that everything she will need is inside. I take advantage of her attention being elsewhere and I gather my things anyway, stuffing them into my backpack. I hear a phone start ringing and Jennie looks surprised as she stares at the screen "I'll meet you at the restaurant." she leaves without waiting for a response.
"How are things? Are you liking here?" my father says with the same excitement as before and I furrow my eyebrows.
"Yeah..." I take a last look at the backpack and I think everything is ok. "I think it's strange seeing you in these clothes."
"Even I thought it was strange." my mother starts laughing as we leave the room.
I even try to get involved in the adult conversation during lunch, but since Jennie arrived she's been very quiet. I avoid thinking that it has something to do with the call she received, but my intuition says it has everything to do with it.
I watch the dynamics between our parents and they get along really well, I don't know if I'm surprised or happy with this apparently great relationship they have. I let out a sigh as they start to say goodbye and Jennie forces a smile that I don't think anyone realized was fake.
When the couples leave the restaurant, leaving us alone, I take one last sip of my juice and before I ask Jennie what she has, her voice comes out.
"Remember when I mentioned that your mother had recommended me for some internships?" the brunette says without looking at me.
"Yes, but they still hadn't given you an answer about the vacancies." I try to take her hand, but Jennie pulls her hands into her own lap.
"I got a call." I notice that she takes a deep breath.
"Yes, I noticed." I pass my hand over my face "Jennie, you're going to kill my heart if you continue with all this mystery."
"Chanel offered me an internship." She finally looks at me, but seems apprehensive.
"That's great, isn't it? You love the brand and have lots of clothes from there, it will be great for your career." I give a wide smile as I feel my chest fill with pride at this opportunity she is having.
"Yes, but I'm going to spend 6 months in Paris to experience this internship and with the possibility of being hired at the end." my smile disappears at the same moment that her words echo in my mind.
I apologize for the delay in updating, but I was promoted at work and I was still adapting/learning until I managed to organize everything :)
