I wish I lived somewhere else.
Somewhere where the sun shines down all day,
Where the waves splash against the shore,
Where the normal thing to say is 'do you want to go down to the beach after school.'
I wish I lived somewhere else.
Instead I live where the rain beats down relentlessly,
And the wind batters our bodies.
So I only dream of the warmth and happiness as I stare out of my window at the sky painted with grey clouds.
I wish I lived somewhere else.
Where I could surf the waves,
Where I could sit on the sand with my friends,
Where I could go outside without a coat and wear shorts and t-shirts all year long.
I want to live without the wind battering my face, I want to live everyday like paradise.
I wish I lived somewhere else.
