Me and Evan start walking home from freddy's.
Elisabeth went to Susie's house for the night.
"hey..about the other night.."
"i'm sorry. i know i shouldn't have done that-"
"no no that's not what i was gonna say."
i look at Evan with a confused look, now stopped on the sidewalk in front of a playground.
we stare at each other, the light of the street lamps being the only thing to light our dim faces.
"i don't know at this point" Evan says looking down at the concrete
"What do you mean Evan?" i say slowly inching closer without him noticing
"i don't know how i feel about you. it feels like i've known you forever" he moves closer to me and places his hand on my cheek.
Evan smiles softly.
he then realizes how close together we really are.
he moves back a bit before looking down and apologizing.
"I-i'm sorry i-"
Evan didn't finish his sentence.
"come on let's just go." Evan says clearly aggravated.
"what's wrong?" i say
"nothing, it's just annoying when i sometimes can't finish my own sentence."
"Oh.. okay.." i respond.
We don't talk for a moment and start walking back down the street.
"so uhm.. i'm sorry to get off topic here but, just don't be weirded out if my dad says some weird shit to you within the next couple weeks. he's been acting... different.. and fighting with us a lot."
"Who's us?"
"me and my siblings. he picks fights with mike all the time."
"Oh.." I say. It's a common response from me.
"j-just.. don't be surprised if he says something crazy confusing."
