Travis's POV

There was one spot I had never shown anyone. My mom used to take me to this small forest when I was little. It had a few benches scattered around, and it was always quiet, a peaceful sanctuary away from the noise of the world.

I walked around the truck and helped Taylor out, my heart pounding with nervous excitement.

"How do I know you haven't brought me here to murder me and cover it up?" she joked, but there was a hint of apprehension in her voice as I took her hand in mine.

"Because I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't get to look at your pretty face," I replied, trying to lighten the mood. I grabbed my phone and turned on the flashlight.

Leading her through the trees, I guided her to a secluded bench tucked away in a quiet corner of the forest. As we took a seat, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over me. This was the perfect place to talk, to be alone together without any distractions.

"Why did you bring me here?" Taylor asked, resting her head on my shoulder.

"It's one of my favorite secret spots. I've never brought a girl here before," I confessed, my heart racing in my chest as I ran my fingers through her soft hair.

"Then why did you bring me here?" she asked, her voice soft and curious as she looked up at me.

"Because this is different," I replied, unable to tear my gaze away from her. I bit my lip nervously, feeling the urge to lean in and kiss her overwhelming me. All I wanted was to taste her lips and tell her how perfect she was.

I looked down at Taylor, feeling a rush of warmth flood through me as I saw the relaxed expression on her face. She seemed a lot more at ease than she had been at the party. Slowly, my hand moved from her hair to her face, causing her to look up at me.

As my fingers brushed over her lips, she spoke quietly, "I've never kissed anyone before," she confessed, her gaze drifting away from mine.

"Hey, we don't have to do anything, okay?" I reassured her, my hand cupping her face and gently guiding her to look back at me. Though it was dark, the soft glow of my phone's flashlight provided just enough light for the two of us.

"I want to," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. I felt her breathing pause, and my heart skipped a beat as she spoke the words.

With a gentle smile, I leaned forward and pressed my lips to her forehead, then to her cheek, and finally to the corner of her mouth before capturing her soft lips in mine. It was unlike any kiss I had experienced before. Her lips were soft, and the kiss was so gentle, so tender.

Her hands slipped into my hair, and I felt my heart explode with emotion. Pulling away slightly, I rested my forehead against hers, my hand still cupping her face.

"You okay, beautiful?" I asked, watching as Taylor looked down, biting her lip nervously.

"Yeah, I'm good," she replied, resting her head on my chest. "I need to get home," she mumbled against my chest.

"Let's get you home then," I said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

"I like this too much, though," she admitted, pushing herself closer to me.

"I can come over to yours tomorrow if you want, or we can come back here when it's light out," I suggested, my hand gently stroking her back. As I spoke, she looked up at me, uncertainty clouding her eyes.

"Promise this isn't a one-time thing," she said, her voice filled with genuine fear.

"I promise," I replied, leaning down to capture her lips in another tender kiss.
