~Rose'fall~

"Feather'spot! Run!"

The tom ran up to her. "Rose'fall? What's going on - You're running around like your tail is on fire!"

She accidentally rammed into him, "Do not look, back just follow me."

The idiotic, stupid, very stupid, mouse-brained tom of course looked back. What a dumb cat. He now surpassed her in stupidness. Why, if she says, 'don't look back' does he look back? Dumb rat, squirrel, mouse, acorn, dirt, young Dusted'paw, finch. All of the stupid things, that was him.

"Holy Star'clan-" He yowled as the dogs ran faster.

"Run, you mouse-brained idiot!" She hissed.

Hopefully he could still run with that bite mark of his. At least she could say she tried, if he could not. To who? Who knows. Maybe Distanced Night'paw would care to listen.

Feather'spot stumbled a little farther behind her. She turned to glare at the tom. The harsh look was more of a hard shove to get him to move. It worked; he blinked back at her, and pushed his paws harder on the slippery slush.

The good thing about the slush, was that it slowed down the dogs, too. Although how much good is slowing down your predator, if you're still being slowed, too.

'Where do we go?'

She scanned the area, as nerves pricked her. They could not just run around in circles, while two dogs tried to make a snack out of them.

The scent of Shore'clan's boarders pricked her senses. She did not plan on going into their camp. Rose'fall did not want to cause trouble to the clan, with two soon-to-become Distanced cats not locked up.

Star'clan was on their side. A small burrow hid by a tree. More so for... She didn't know; something small, but it looked a little caved in. Hopefully they could fit inside.

She yowled to Feather'spot. Hopefully dogs didn't know Cat. "There's a burrow to my right! Come on!"

Rose'fall turned her gaze back to him. He was falling a little behind, while the dogs were by his paws. That one with the yellow fangs snapped at his hind legs. - A bite mark was now clearly visible on the dog's front leg. That meant that it was probably just like them; in the early stages before it turned into a Distant.

"Fox-dung!" She scowled, and leaped herself back to the dogs and Feather'spot.

Feather'spot got himself cornered. He was in the center of the two dogs, as they stalked closer, and closer. His wound bled heavily, and each of the predators' eyes were trained on that spot. Besides him basically bleeding out, he managed to keep them far enough away from tearing him to shreds, with his sharp talons.

Rose'fall ducked under one of the dog's legs. She swiped at its underbelly; her claws sunk deep into its insides. The short-furred mutt let out a horrible shriek from its slightly long, smushed snout.

The thing's noise was enough to distract the other mutt. This also included Feather'spot. It tumbled to the ground, from its probable fatal slash. Rose'fall whacked Feather'spot with her tail, and flicked her black-tipped ear towards the burrow.

The two made a run for the hole. Rose'fall easily slipped inside. She pulled Feather'spot in with her, before he closed off the entrance with some of the slushy snow so they would not be seen.

Rose'fall was about to yell at Feather'spot, when he swished his tail over her mouth, in a way to tell her to be quiet. Once again, the forest went silent. Besides the sounds of something twitching.

She turned to look through the small gap of their entrance. The dog she had slashed stayed still, as it was most likely dead, or soon to be dead. However, the bitten one now was tumbled to the ground.

Bouts of twitching raked it. Similarly to when her mother was about to turn. Her ears naturally went backwards. Feather'spot came up beside her.

A crazed look took over the ill mutt. Its friend had already backed away from it. The mutt lunged at its bleeding companion; it aimed for its throat. More shrieking sounded.

Rose'fall looked away, and sat back onto the root-y ground. She tried to take her mind off of what was going on outside.

The place had enough space for the both of them, and a little wiggle room. Maybe even enough room for some fresh-kill they decided to bring back. Perhaps they should've just left that in a tree, though.

Darn, Rose'fall should've went for a tree instead of this place. Well, maybe not, since Feather'spot might not be able to climb that much.

"We... are not turning as fast as the others," Feather'spot mumbled. He had lowered himself down, as well.

She could only nod. A part of her wanted to yell at him for basically getting her bitten, when she saved him from getting eaten by killing her mentor fully. He could also be blamed for Night'paw's life being just in vain, too. Her saving Rose'paw did not do any good, other than just killing herself.

The other part was too exhausted to deal with the pressure of today. That added with how numb she felt; yelling was too loud of an emotion for her right now.

She did not feel sick, or about to turn at all. She just felt... different from the old her. Her optimism had died, and there seemed to be no hope left. This had only been one day, and the two of them had just barely avoided certain death.

Rose'fall gave a little mew for a response. "This doesn't even matter anymore. We're just going to be dancing with the dead, eventually."

Okayy, just to clarify, they aren't superheroes, the dogs are like your average lazy pooch, so that is why they were not eaten :)
