~Rose'fall~
"Pssh! That old thing? It's no big deal," Feather'spit shrugged, and ducked his head.
"Uhm, 'It's no big deal' seems like a bigger deal. I don't know if you noticed," She laughed a little, "but uh you kinda left a trail of blood from where you came."
"Oh.." Was all he responded with.
Rose'fall ached to stretch her legs. "I'll go get some cobwebs or something. I think I remember Leopard'dream saying something about how cobwebs stop bleeding,"
"I'll come with you," He stood up, and strode to her side. "Please?"
Rose'fall took a couple steps away from the tom. "Er, no, you're staying here. When I turn, I don't want to be by myself. Even if that means I'm stuck with you."
He nodded, and sat back down. His eyes never left her as she walked out. So, she picked up her pace.
Rose'fall turned her attention to pale brown eyes. They peered from her from the Medicine Den. Soft groans growled from the sick cat. She shuddered.
'I'm so sorry, Night'paw,' She thought, and ducked her head away from her friend.
They had planned this all out as kits. How they would always be there for each other. How they had planned their lives so that their kits would continue on their friendship. — All of that, gone down like watered-down snow.
Her sacrifice was in vain, too. All that would happen, was that she and that other tom would turn into rotting monsters. Their minds lost, and only to be programmed to be vicious and attack.
Rose'fall did not blame her clan for throwing them out. There was no hope for them, anyways. All that they would do would be to cause more chaos on this already ruined world.
Why did Feather'spot even open up that entry way anyway? Did he want more innocent cats to get hurt?
"Well, I cannot just let him bleed out. I'll be alone then, and there is nothing worse than dying alone," Rose'fall muttered quietly once she was out of earshot from him, and away from the lost camp.
Her camp that was once lively. Her camp where she had set her life upon. Her camp which was once so full of life, and held all of her memories. Even the ones which she wished to forget.
What fate did Star'clan have for them, if they just threw their whole world into chaos and death? Of course, surely the twolegs started this whole disease. However, for such strong and powerful beings, why could Star'clan not just put an end to this?
Heal them all? Bring back the lost lives? — Minus Cackle'flame, she can stay dead.
Why did most of the cats she loved have to die, too? Not that it mattered. Rose'fall knew she would be with them soon.
Her paws knew this land by heart. She remembered tumbling by that one skeleton-like tree in the middle of Leaf-fall with Night'paw and Mist'paw. It was always full of cobwebs, and spiders.
They would sometimes scare the kits that a lost soul was attached to that tree. That the soul was stuck between going to Star'clan, or the Dark forest, so it had just been sent to linger around that tree. Good times.
One time, she had dared Dusted'paw, who had just started his apprenticeship a day before, to stick his head inside it. Feather'spot, or Feather'paw then, pushed him inside it fully. Dusted'paw was full on terrified; screaming and all. He never forgave Rose'fall.
'Not even when I was being sacrificed.'
Soon, not too far off from the dots of blood from Feather'spot, she found herself beside the tree. Rose'fall could not help but smile. Sure, this old thing was never that much, but it held so many good memories.
Rose'fall bent down to grab a stick. She was about to twirl it around, and grab the sticky strings, before some vengeful spider came to attack.
"I wonder if the spiders will also be going Distant," She laughed.
It's easier to joke about that topic now. That was her fate, anyways. Maybe this was for the better. After all, she would be able to see Night'paw and Fawn'tooth again. Along with everyone else.
For a moment, she thought she heard Mist'paw laughing beside her, with her scratching, dying-like laugh. Rose'fall turned around.
More of Mist'paw's strange laughter sounded. Her optimistic side had already decided that they had come back for her, and Feather'spot.
"Mist'paw? Is that you?" She asked, and began to trot towards the noise.A group of 2 medium-sized dogs followed Feather'spot's bloodied trail. One turned its head to her. It bared its yellow teeth. Rose'fall could not tell if it was a Distanced thing, or just had horrible dental care.
Another stalked towards her. Rose'fall felt that immobilizing fear try to take over again. Maybe she should just let it kill her. Death was coming for her, anyways.
An image of that stupid tom filled her head again. 'Foxdung.'
She could not let him just sit there and like, bleed out, and think she was still coming back. It was all his fault she got bitten anyways! Either way, if she was not going to let him die so easily, then neither was she.
A feeling of adrenaline sounded in her limbs. Rose'fall took a run for it, and back to camp. She dropped the stick along the way.
Each of her long, powerful strides carried her back even faster than normal, despite the slushy snow. The dogs' paws hammered on nearby her. Their legs were much longer than hers, and yet she remained just a little faster.
The camp came into her sight.
"Feather'spot! Feather'spot!" Rose'fall screeched. Even Distanced Night'paw looked alarmed.
"Feather'spot! Run!"

Random A/N, but while I was writing Chapter Seventeen, I imagined them yelling at each other in British accents :P
