~The song Remus found was Freaks - Surf Curse~
~It's not gorey or grusome, he just simply relates to it and wanted to see if Logan liked it~
~Roman's P.O.V.~
"What the hell?" Janus muttered when Logan fixed her earphones, tapping along to whatever song was playing.
"I don't understand," I scoffed, breaking my orange in half.
"Understand what?" Luca asked me, eating his lunch.
"That," I spat, looking at Remus and Logan. She was such a dickhead. Rude, blunt, mean. Yet, even after I told Remus he still goes off and hangs out with her.
"I'm just surprised that Logan made a friend without one of us forcing her to meet someone," Luca said, biting into an apple.
"Remus doesn't do this crap. Typically we listen to each other. But no, he has to be friends with some jackass," I said, rolling my eyes at Luca's glare.
"Language, and Logan isn't... that. She can be really nice," Patton told me.
"How?" I said, hardly believing it.
"She goes out of her way to tutor students, a good amount of them being free of charge. Typically, the free-of-charge students are in college, she doesn't take pity, she just understands," Luca said, tapping his fingers against the table.
"Then why does she have to be a dick to me, first day?" I asked.
"Emotions," Janus said, Vivian agreeing with him.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I scoffed.
"She doesn't handle her emotions well. If you're to... emotional to her, she's harsher. Unless it's Luca, probably because they grew up together," Janus explained.
"It's because I'm the only one ballsy enough to talk to her about our parents," Luca muttered, finishing his apple.
"Ballsy enough? It's not that difficult to talk about your parents. Jeez," I said.
"It is for her, and rather difficult for me too," Luca said, glaring at me again. Before I could question it, the bell rang. Vivian and Janus got up quickly, saying they had to get to their Physics classes while Patton got up, helping Luca with getting his things.
"I'll be home late tonight Roman, don't wait up," Remus told me, walking alongside Logan as they talked about some murder podcast.
"And Roman," Luca said as I got up, making me look at him. He gave me an intense look, Patton slowly stepping between us.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Logan's and my parents aren't around for harsh reasons. I will remain protective of her as she will with me. Don't test limits with this group, it won't be tolerated," he told me.
"...Alright," I said, confused by what he meant.
~Beginning of Lunch again, Logan's point of view, start the song if you wish to~
Don't kill me, just help me run away
The song started heavy already. The beat was nice, so I couldn't help but tap along.
From everyone, I need a place to stay
Run away from everyone... Take a break from the weight of the world.
Where I can cover up my face
Hide away from the stares.
Don't, cry, I am just a freak
The rumors.
I am just a freak
The voices.
I am just a freak
The echoes of negative thoughts.
I am just a freak
What the hell am I thinking? I don't think this way. I need to get back to my schedule.
My head is, filled with parasites
Negative thoughts?
Black, holes, cover up my eyes
Hiding away emotions, hiding away the past.
I dream, of you, almost every night
My parents... The nights of the deaths. My brother, every time we had to save each other mentally or physically.
Hopefully, I won't wake up this time
Sleeping forever can sound comforting... Even with all that needs to be done.
I won't wake up this time
Not waking up isn't an option.
I won't wake up this time
It sounds comforting, but it isn't an option. Luca needs me.
I won't wake up this time
Luca needs me...
"So?" Remus asked, an eyebrow raised and no grin seen. I wasn't sure what to say. It felt familiar, not by sound but by thoughts. It appeared... Relatable.
"I enjoyed it, I'll have to listen to it more often," I told him, cracking a smile at his grin.
Now you get emotions out of me... But not anger, sadness, or aggravation.
An emotion I haven't felt in years.
Happiness.
