~8th Hour, Journalist Club~
~Roman's P.O.V~I was sure this was a prank. Sure of it.
But, I'm doubting it is now. She went about the classroom, talking and helping out the other members, smiling and seeming... Happy.
"They're just putting a prank together," I tried convincing myself, sorting through photos I took at the dance.
She's gorgeous in these photos. Her smile is pretty, didn't even know it could be so pretty
"Shut up, God dammit," I snapped at myself, earning looks from some of the members.
You know you like her.
I hate her, I already established this.
Talk to her. Apologize.
"I don't have nothing to apologize for," I muttered under my breath, pausing at one of the photos.
Some people from the dance spilled out onto the football field, so I decided to go out and take a few photos of the couples that were on their phones or whatever they were doing. In this one photo, I have no clue how it came out so perfect. Logan was standing in the grass, looking up toward the sky with her notepad in hand. With the camera quality, the sky was covered with stars, the moon sitting in the right spot as a crescent. The wind had to of blow just right in that moment. Her hair laid right, her dress making her look... majestic.
"Roman," her voice came from behind me. I panicked, clicking off the photo and on another.
"What?" I scoffed, looking back. She tilted her head at the screen, then glanced at me.
"How many good photos?" she asked.
"...Like 20 so far. Two good for front page this Friday," I muttered, facing the screen again.
"Where'd that photo come from?" she asked.
"I was trying to get a photo of the group of students behind you," I lied.
"There was no one behind me then," she informed me.
"Yeah, there was," I argued.
"...Alright," she shrugged, walking off toward Vivian. I sighed, pulling the photo back up.
She's beautiful...
"...I can't keep arguing with myself," I muttered. Before I could click off, someone tapped my shoulder.
"Boo."
I spun around, glaring when seeing Remus.
"Why the hell are you here?" I snapped.
"Study hour. Where'd you get that photo from?" he asked, looking at the screen.
"Lucky shot with her in the way," I spat, clicking off again.
"Send me that when you can," he grinned.
"God you are way too bold. Why?" I huffed.
"I mean, look at her," Remus hummed.
"Why not ask her out if she's so pretty, hm?" I asked.
"I never said she was pretty. I just said look at her," he said.
"...God dammit," I sighed.
~Remus's P.O.V ~
Roman just called Logan pretty. I didn't call her anything, he said she was.
"What are you hiding?" I asked, folding my arms. If it was what I was hiding, there was going to be a very big issue...
"...I don't know," he said, looking through photos.
"What do you mean?"
I glanced over toward Logan while waiting for Roman to respond. I gave her a flower I found in the school yard, I think called a corn flower. I said it was just since it matches her personality, but she tucked the flower in her bun of hair. Since day 1 my heart swooned for her. She's smart, strong, gorgeous... but, if Roman liked, or loved, her...
"I think since she shut me down so fast I just used being mean to her as a way to handle it," he said.
"...Handle what?" I asked.
"...The shut down, how... I feel about her," he sighed.
There it is...
"Try being nice to her. She's protective of herself and her feelings, so if you're nice first, she might be nice back," I told him. Whyd it hurt suddenly?
"I doubt it," he sighed.
"At least try. It's been 2 weeks," I continued. My heart ached.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Don't be to forward though." Why did I want to cry?
"Coming from you."
"I started off that way, you didn't," I grinned. It hurt to smile.
"...Thanks. Really. I'm sorry for being a dick," he said.
"Hey, you like the girl I hang out with, no worries," I chuckled, hating the pain I felt now...
