"Why are you telling me this? Us this?" I had to ask.
"Janus, Vivi, and Pat know for the most part. I just... I want you to know. She's close to you, and she's never been close with anyone other than me or Vivian. Look, she was so broken that night, on her birthday. I couldn't sleep for a week because of what she told me. She even spent two hours explaining how much the rumors of her with the football team were affecting her," Luca told me. I noticed how he started tearing up while talking.
"...I," I hesitated to speak, shut down instantly.
"I also want Roman to be controlled. Logan doesn't like being aggressive, but she only is to shield herself. Remus, you have no idea how upset she was that night... I know she may seem 'upset' when cursing someone out, but this was... this was thinking about ending it all upset. This was, 'I want to leave but I know I can't' upset. I hear it in her voice whenever someone brings up the rumors, or someone mentions our parents. I just want you to know, and to get to Roman before I kill him," Luca explained to me.
"...I'll make sure Roman backs off with the headbutting," I told him.
"Thanks, hopefully he'll listen to you," Luca sighed. As soon as he finished saying that, Logan and Roman walked up to us again.
"I didn’t take a thousand photos, jackass," Roman snapped.
"I heard the shutter go off that many times. Better hope your photos are right," Logan snapped back, standing by Luca with folded arms.
"Will you two stop it?" Vivian asked.
"Him first," Logan scoffed, facing away.
"You started it!" Roman raised his voice.
"Dude," I said, voice low when elbowing him. He shot me a harsh glare instantly.
"Nah, nah you," he started.
"Yeah I talked to her after you said utter bullshit. I like my own views on shit like how you like your own. Just quit it," I told him, noticing Logan looking at me now.
"...Let's dance! Maybe... Break the tension," Patton said, standing in the middle of our little crew.
"That sounds fun, Pat," Luca smiled.
"How about you go off and dance? We'll catch up," Vivian suggested.
"We can wait if you guys got to do something," Patton said.
"Nah, you two go ahead. Really," I said. Quickly, Janus and Roman both agreed, Roman still eyeing me. Luca and Patton both shrugged, walking off more toward the middle of the gym.
"They're so getting together tonight," Janus said.
"Agreed," Vivian snorted.
"I doubt it," Logan argued, looking in her notepad.
"You can't ever be positive. Not even for your brother, God damn," Roman scoffed. I half expected Logan to snap back with something, but this time she only turned her body to the right, turning away from Roman.
"...Nothing? Surprising, anyways. I think they will," Roman hummed.
"Roman don't be an ass," Janus said.
"What? I was honest," he said.
"Dumbass," I muttered.
"Look, Luca and I don't find love... Necessary. With," Logan started speaking, seeming to stare at something past Janus and I.
"...Cat got your tongue?" Roman asked.
"...I stand corrected," she muttered, looking down into her notepad again.
"What do you mean?" I asked as Janus and Vivian turned around.
"Patton's redder than an apple, what happened?" Vivian asked.
"I don't know," Logan said.
"Oh, I bet the teach got it wrong," Roman grinned.
"Dude," I scoffed.
"It's fine Remus. Roman's just a dickhead," Logan sighed.
~Roman's P.O.V.~
I just wanted to avoid what my thoughts were.
Everything screamed love, but Logan was such a dick. There was no love, only aggravation and anger toward each other.
You like her.
I hate her.
You're lying to yourself.
She can go... go die in a hole for all I care.
You're lying. You're scared.
"I'm not scared," I snapped at... well, myself. Instantly, the group looked at me, aside from Logan.
"..What?" Vivian asked.
"Nothing, nothing," I shook my head.
"Are you sure? I don't think anyone called you scared," Janus told me.
"I'm sure, it was nothing," I said, cursing at myself.
You are scared
I swear to god.. I hate Logan, since day 1 I've hated Logan and that won't change.
No you haven't
"I swear," I started muttering to myself, shutting up when Logan's phone started ringing.
"...Odd," she said, pulling her phone out from her pocket.
"Spam?" Vivian asked. Instead of some response, Logan walked over to where Luca and Patton were, answering whatever call she got.
"...Does she have... some friend?" Janus asked.
"No, she's pretty... pretty bold with saying she sticks alone," Remus shrugged.
"Who would call her at this time then?" Vivian asked.
"Surprised you thought it was a friend," I said, Remus quick to glare at me.
"There really isn't another answ-" Vivian started, silence when Luca and Logan rushed over, Patton right after.
"We got to go to an emergency," Logan said, handing her hair clip to Vivian.
"Emergency? Who called?" Remus asked.
"Go change, be quick. I'll wait by the car for you," Luca told Logan, sending her off toward the locker rooms.
"What's going on?" Vivian asked. Patton gave her an odd look, then glanced at Luca with a slight shake of the head.
"I'll explain later, if the principal gets on Logan's ass about not being here ill have a major issue. We'll see you guys at some point, Monday we might... not be there," Luca explained.
"Wait, is it," Vivian started, her voice fading. Luca had a certain look, nodding.
"Luca, let's go," Logan said when rushing back over, sounding angry and... something else.
"Need someone to drive you guys? I can see Luca's hands shaking," Remus offered.
"We'll be fine," Luca said.
"Let's go," Logan snapped. Her voice shook and eyeshadow seemed to start running.
"See you guys," Luca said, rushing out the doors with Logan.
"...She was crying," I said.
"Don't mention it," Vivian said, voice hushed.
