~3 weeks later~
~Logan and Luca fell into a comfortable habit. Roman has hesitated to start being nice to Logan, meanwhile Remus wanted to drift from Logan to let Roman have his chance, however his emotions held him back.~
~Logan's P.O.V~

"I got paid 75 by Diane's parents, want to order in tonight?" I asked Luca, walking out toward his car with him.

"Oh, I forgot to say... Patton kinda... Asked me out," Luca told me, shoulders slumping.

"But we can," he went to continue.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine by myself. You have fun with Patton," I said, getting in the passenger's seat.

"You sure?" he asked, getting in the car also.

"Yes I'm sure. I can eat leftovers or order something, maybe even watch a movie or something in the living room," I told him, pulling my phone out when it buzzed.

"No, save your money. I'll order you food. I might... Crash at Patton's house tonight, unless you need me," he said, adding the last part with fast words.

"I won't. Just have fun, don't worry about me," I told him, smiling at a video Remus sent me. The video was a German Shepherd tilting his head at its owner playing squeaky toy sounds.

"What are you smiling at?" Luca asked me, starting to drive to the house our aunt used to own, now under his name.

"Oh, nothing. Remus sent me a video of this dog. He's tilting his head, Remus said it's what I do," I explained.

"You two... you two are pretty close, aren't ya?" Luca asked.

"..I guess so? We get along, know each other pretty well. Aside from family outside of you and Roman," I told him, glancing down at my messages when receiving a long message from an unknown number.

"Hm, never expected it," Luca said.

I didn't respond, reading Remus's message.

Dad grounded me for the week, thinks I stole some money when I didn't
Ma probably stole it...
Anyways, I can't message or nothin till he either finds his cash or I fess up

"Oh," I muttered, messaging back.

Hi Remus. Hopefully you won't be grounded for to long. I'll probably have the house to myself  for the weekend, Luca and Patton are going out tonight and if it goes well, I doubt I'll see Luca home often. Anyways, I'll be free if you need something.

"What's up?" Luca asked.

"Remus is grounded," I told him, shutting my phone off.

"Why? Not like I'm surprised, but why?" he asked.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked him.

"...Huh?"

"What do you mean by that?" I repeated my question.

"...Well, he does have a record."

"What record?"

"...Criminal record. You don't know?"

"What are you talking about?"

"I figured you would've been the first to know. He has a criminal record. Roman said he was charged as a juvenile for... Robbery and Murder 3rd degree I think, or something with killing someone."

"...What?"

"You heard me. That's why I'm not surprised he's grounded. I wouldn't be surprised if he was under juvenile detention again."

I was quiet this time. I honestly didn't expect that, nor did I know that.

I act on impulses so I don't act on my intrusive thoughts.

...Did he use to act on intrusive thoughts?

"Sorry if you feel... awkward now. Maybe he didn't want you to know," Luca muttered.

"It's fine, don't worry," I said, getting out as soon as he pulled into the drive way and shut the car off.

Out of all the people I've met, the one I get along with has a criminal record.
