The Hip Holster shares the same purpose as the original Hip Holster: to store a blaster.
It is mainly meant for the Strongarm, although can fit many other small sidearms. It can also store three extra darts and is adjustable, able to fit most sizes.
As its name suggests, the Hip Holster is primarily designed to fit on a person's hip. However, it can also be used on someone's arm, as seen in some stock images.
