The Flip Clip is essentially two twelve dart clips connected together, unlike its predecessor, which was simply an accessory that allowed the user to attach whichever clips they wanted together.
The two twelve dart clips are stacked side-by-side instead of on top of each other, reducing the length of the set of clips, compared to how the original Flip Clip functioned. The two clips can be detached from each other, leaving the accessory unused; however, the grey piece itself is only compatible with the two packaged clips and cannot be attached to other clips, as there are little dimples that jut out of the sides of these twelve dart clips. The clips also have rubber bumpers on the bottom.
Using the Flip Clip compared to other clip types makes reloading easier and faster for clip system blasters. Because it has two clips in one, a user simply needs to unload one side of the Flip Clip, flip it around, and reinsert the opposite side into the blaster for a full reload.
