Lily's Pov

After my attack, I walk back to my cabin, feeling proud of myself.

Why the actual fuck would I ever feel proud of rejecting Connor? I don't know.

I must be crazy, I think.

I plop down on my bed, and decide to not tell anyone about this; not even the girls.

I would start focusing on practice again, since there was a rumour that Luke might be back, and I am not running any risks.

After a while I decide to stop rotting on my bed, so I get up and walk over the pavilion, knowing Piper and Julia are probably there already.

Well cleraly, having a laugh with my best friends was not what the fates had in store for me, because the minute I step out of the Demeter cabin, I see Connor Stoll walking, his hand over a girl's waist, and his lips looked swollen, as if he had just been kissed.

What I couldn't figure out was who the girl was; so of course, I make my way over to them.

HUGE MISTAKE.

The girl Connor was hugging was Drew Tanaka.

I can't lie, I wasn't even mad, I was just disappointed.

Out of all girls, Connor really picked out Drew, who he knew damn well I hated.

Nevertheless, I was standing infront of them, and it would have been weird if I just stood there.

"Hey Drew, can you help me with something" I ask, putting on my fakest smile.

Without even waiting for an answer, I yank Drew away from Connor so abruptly that even Connor falters a bit.

She turns around, giving Connor a quick peck on the lips. "See you later, babes" she says, giggling.

I feel sick to my stomach, not because of jealousy but because that was just fucking disgusting.

"What's so important Marny, do you finally wanna wear makeup?" she says, gawking at me, and laughing at me.

Who in the Hades does she think she is, she needs to be seriosuly humbled.

"Yes Tanaka, there's a big campfire tonight, and I was wondering if you could help me do my hair" I say.

"Finally, you need it" she ultimately replies before shoving me on her bed and starting to do my hair.

After an hour or so, my hair was looking genuinely amazing.

It was silky smooth, with cute little braids in the front and a lily tucked on my ear.

"Thanks Drew, for once I mean it" I say, surprisngly truthfully.

"Yeah well, don't get used to it, I'm just in a good mood because Connor and I got together" she scoffs.

I choke on my own spit.

"Um, what" I say, too shocked to say anything else.

"Yeah, we made out and then we got together, took long enough. He mentioned something about a girl before me, but he said she was a bitch" she continues, scratching her forehead, as if she was going to get any more information out of her walnut sized brain.

Ok, that was too much, I take it back, her brain's apple sized.

Did he really say that about me?

But he loved me.

How could he do that?

I don't care, I actually need to focus on my self and my life this time, plus he has a girlfriend, and I am NOT the type of girl to steal someone else's boyfriend.

After getting my hair done, I decide to go over to the Hermes cabin, maybe I can ask Travis if he knows what's going on.

I walk in, and see Percy and Travis reading a map of the camp, probably making plans for this week's capture the flag.

"Uhuhm" I say, clearing my throat.

They turn towards me, give eachother a quick look, and immediately getting up and pushing me outside.

"Nu hu, you are not talking to Connor or about him in any way, ok? You've already done enough damage" starts Travis, and behind him stands Percy, nodding his head off at whatever Travis is saying.

"WHAT IN THE HADES IS GOING ON, TELL ME RIGHT NOW! I yell, stomping my foot on the ground, and putting my hand on my dagger.

Percy disarms me in a millisecond.

To be fair, he's like the best demigod around ever, I don't know why I thought I could actually threaten him.

"You don't deserve an explanation" continues Travis, slamming the door behind me.

I slump against it, letting myself crumple to the ground, holding my knees to my chest in frustration.

It takes me a good five minutes to get up and get myself together when I notice it's dinner time.

I run over to the pavilion, and sit down next to Katie, who looks slightly confused, but understands not to ask by the look in my eyes.

Suddendly, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I turn around to see Chiron, looking extremely concerned.

"The Oracle wants to see you" he says, dead serious.

"Should I go to Rachel's cave now-" I start, but suddenly I see a running Rachel coming towards me.

Her red hair as curly as ever, messier, and her green eyes were now spilling with neon light, green air already surrounding her.

She manages to run all they way to the centre of the pavilion, when she falls to her knees, turns her head towards me and starts reciting a prophecy.

A child of nature shall go back to the Earth

Get rid of the weeds of humanity

Eradicate the evil, rid of the coldness of the ground

And the Son of the Winged God shall accompany her

Find the winged shoes

And put back what was stolen

Silence.

Absolute fucking silence for the first time in a while.

I turn around to the Hermes table, and I see Connor Stoll standing, with glossy eyes.

He looks at Chiron then at me.

"It's me, I have to go"
