Gotchard Episode 32 Review

This one's gonna be labeled more as a reaction than a review. Tough to articulate thoughts when you wake up to the episode subbed in the middle of the night. Oh yeah sorry about the 30 and 31 reviews, took a while to refocus thoughts. 30's done, 31's almost done.

Speaking of apologizes, Atropos ripping Clotho a new one for her failure to use Type Three effectively was just needless cruel, calling her useless is like, okay brat, you try something, miss "never became a Malgam" and only used Dread once, but Clotho needs a proper focus episode so this should be interesting to see how this impacts later events.

Always cool to have Sabi and Renge on the field helping Houtaro out to catch Akumano, didn't expect to get a diving Rider Kick from base Steam Hopper. The seniors turned graduates taking down the Malgam host's human form using what they've learned from Minato with their own flair really shows how far they've come from the first arc having to get very creative with their combat style. Wonder if the victim of the weak recognized the Chemy granted them power and used it since the Sisters weren't involved or just happened to run into one. Even the most money obsessed of them wants to treat them for lunch, this season really takes a lot of old concepts and plays with them in subtle yet unique ways you wish more people would appreciate.

Rinne wanted to meet Lachesis? Oh about Atropos. Never thought someone saying that she was too nice would be a statement although Rinne really isn't awful to people, it's just some viewers. Don't understand that you can care about people, but also be kind of hard to show that when you have a lot of baggage mentally. But the confirmation they're all non human dolls  Homehow monkey lie lie lie lie lie, lie lie? Homonculi? Homuncil?

Okay, pause, google: Homunculi. Note to self learn how to spell that word better. To say they've had no hopes or dreams feels a bit odd when we've seen how independent they could be, when one could argue they've been designed that way and can't traditionally evolve like humans could.

Kyoka's idea to make her human could work, she is built like one. Then again, considering the production team joked this was FLIRTING (Let me study every part of you has so many connotations from romantic to....whatever is possibly in those Spanner and Lachesis fanfics with a 10% chance of existing) as her curious face gets going was worth a chuckle. Most people do like her character because of how grounded and mature she is but emits all the chaos. It is quick to forget that she is a scientist and an alchemist. She's got intentions, but she is eccentric.

Better eccentric then walking human rights violation Geryon though. Though Lachesis shielding herself with the Valvarusher.

A wild Clotho appears and Houtaro makes some good points when she reminds us the original goals of the sisters was to get the Driver before they went to different avenues. Why would they need to fight for their dad when he's sealed and the door of darkness is closed? All this power and they still choose pointless malice.

As for these new opponents, there was a special involving Legend that was teased to be in the show. If you seen any advertising online, they've been building up when to introduce him properly into the show. These are Hundred, think of them as an multiverse evil Kamen Rider organization.

This is why you don't crap talk your family members ahead of time or they'll have a meltdown in the middle of a fight. Hey, suddenly teleportation. Sometimes you forget Houtaro has even combat experience now to fight a terrorist organization as he focused on making sure they escape.

So Lachesis was made after Atropos and Clotho. You'd think it'd be the reverse or Clotho, her, than Atropos, but there is Greek origins of their names that actually have this makes sense. How unironically fitting that the child of the group is the first one to grow up. Lines up with what Minato said, the forbidden alchemy for creating human life. Those three seem to be the most human out of most so there should be in universe explanation for that.

Girl, just let the high schooler who beats you seventy five percent of save your life, yeah, wanting to die rather than get pitted by your enemy is great and all bites. How about you save that rage for when you were able to have a rematch after you both survive? You would make more people use hatred as a motivator instead of a justification for evil ax, but this is not the society we live in and this is not the society certain people in this show gets.

Like yeah it's so easy to call treasure boy naïve, which to be fair he is, but there is maturity and having a dream and actually trying to commit to solving it instead of just being delusional and wandering aimlessly with no goals or independent ambition. One sister is taking the opportunity to learn that one continues to go down this spiraling path of destruction. It is cool they brought back up what happened in episode 15, as she questions his kindness, but he's right to point out she hasn't figured out her desire: even though she's blatantly obvious she wants her family to feel like a family.

Wait, they're only targeting him because he's associated with Legend. Been a while since we've watched Captain America rise of the Winter soldier, but this is bringing "we will target anyone who seems like a threat to our plans, including highschoolers," energy.

Good to see GoldMechanicer and UFO-X be used again. It says a lot of highschoolers being the pragmatic one about focusing on an alliance to get themselves out of there. Who says naivety can't lead to maturity. It is cool to see them team up.

And Clotho finally gets to confront everyone looking down her head on. Using Type Two for now should be enough for her to go bashing and its funny to see What's Your Fire, the song criticized for being overused have lyrics perfectly associated with finding your flame, standing up against fear, not stopping, using impulse to let anger burn and, chasing different ideals.

Don't like these two get a proper Double Rider Kick but still like it's an awesome Double Rider Kick, arguments aside, I'll fight you next time, and wait, gravity magic, Geryon's ambitions? Oh, he's here? The Abyssalis King? And that was his labyrinth? Huh, interesting. Clotho gets her own form upgrade that fits her.

All in all, a fun episode. Did what it needed to do and be crazy along the way. There is gonna be a continuity lockout if you haven't seen the special which, if you're still able to tell a solid story while there are parts of it behind supplementary material, you did a pretty good job.

Wow, actually finished a review in one day. See what happens when you concentrate and focus on your ideas? All right back to trying to write and feeling miserably or sleep.
