A couple weeks has passed since the kissing incident... it had definitely taken a toll on the relationship...

König's mind was always wandering to that incident... he kept replaying every single detail of it back in his mind.. every moment that they had kissed felt like it was permanently embedded in his memory. It felt like it was his happiest moment, but then she pushed him away.. she told him to stay away from her.. their relationship went from being so close to distant once again.. all within one night.. but that night still haunted him.. it still lingered in his mind.

Y/n barely ever saw König now, she was very diligent, good at hiding and being discrete. She had been focusing on training this past couple weeks, using all her energy and strength towards gaining muscle and stamina.

König was doing the same thing, he was in the gym almost everyday... constantly pushing himself to be better physically.. but his focus was never entirely on training since his mind was always wandering back to that night.. the kisses they had shared.. all in one night just for her to tell him to stay away from her... he never understood why she had made him feel that way or done that to him.. he always wondered if something else was going on behind the scenes with her.. was he just not enough for her?

Y/n felt deflated and decided to go eat at the canteen...

König was also in the cafeteria, he had just finished training and was grabbing a bite to eat. It was an empty cafeteria at the moment but when he saw her walk in he couldn't help but notice that she seemed off.. she seemed deflated, maybe even a bit tired which made him curious as to what she was up to.. he kept his eyes fixed on her until she found a place to sit down and begin to eat.

Kiwi felt someone watching her, her eyes flickered up catching König's intense gaze, her eyes widened with surprise as she continued to stare into his dark hazel eyes...he looked pale and drained, maybe he was feeling depressed like she was.

He couldn't help but notice her gaze meet his.. as soon as their eyes locked together he quickly looked away, not wanting to look like he was staring at her. The whole encounter already left him feeling awkward enough, so when he saw her glance at him, that only increased his feelings. His eyes were filled with awkwardness and his cheeks flushed with embarrassment. He couldn't help but feel the stares as he remained silent and started to eat his food, though he felt a bit guilty.. maybe he was the reason she was feeling depressed?

She couldn't handle it, she missed him immensely but it was for the best that she kept her distance. But the damage had already been done when he had called her 'Liebling'. Her heart felt heavy, carrying the burden of shame, guilt and regret. She had fallen in love with this man, but for the field they were in that was a losing game. One day König would have to leave... and she couldn't stand the thought so she cut him off before things could ever escalate and bloom.

He kept eating as his eyes stayed fixed down on his food, he felt the heaviness in his chest grow heavier as he felt the guilt building more and more inside of him. He felt bad that he had ended up being on the other side of these feelings.. now he was the person on the receiving end and it hurt him just as much.. if not more that before. He had also been missing her immensely but it was just as hard for him to stay away from her.. his mind was constantly filled with thoughts of her.. thoughts of that night..

The two didn't notice as Gaz and Soap had walked in... "God those two look miserable... what the hell even happened..."

König suddenly froze as he heard Soap's words. He didn't even realize that they were in the cafeteria as well. His mind was filled with so much guilt already, he really didn't need the extra embarrassment that could potentially come from this interaction.. he took another bite of his food but his head was down and his eyes were focused on the ground while he tried to remain silent and unnoticed.

König's heart raced when Soap made that comment.. he felt all the blood drain from his head as his body started getting hot from the embarrassment. How had this turned into such a mess..? His mouth was also completely dry as he struggled to swallow his food. He couldn't even look up to meet Soap's gaze, his attention was instead glued on his piece of meat that he continued to chew.

Gaz walked up to Kiwi's table, moving to sit across from her, "You like him don't you? Why the hell are you two being so weird and difficult...?"

König's head immediately snapped up when he heard Gaz's words, his heart started beating insanely fast as he felt his body start to shake. His eyes started to dart around as he realized he was now a part of this conversation.. his mind started processing everything that was going on here and he soon realized that this was a mess. He kept his eyes locked on Gaz's as he tried to comprehend what exactly the other person meant. Would he reveal the truth to them? Or would he lie?

Kiwi raised her head meeting Gaz's look. "I do miss his company...but I need to avoid all distractions for a price... I cannot allow myself to indulge in such things..."

König was still following Gaz's every glance as he continued to listen in closely to their conversation. Gaz had brought up that Kiwi missed his company.. so she did miss him.. she still had feelings for him. Her words confused him just as much though.. what did she mean by she couldn't indulge in distractions? Did she mean she couldn't indulge in things like love and relationships? If that was the case then was that why she pushed him away...? He still remained silent as he continued to take in everything that was being said.

Gaz and Soap exchanged a look, "that's bullshit y/n..." Gaz said loudly. Soap nodded looking at her directly "So you're telling me you can't be happy while you are at 141? You are avoiding a person that clearly loves you since the day you arrived...you are such a coward..."

König's throat went dry as soon as he heard Gaz's words.. he couldn't believe what he had just said. He had heard everything clearly and he immediately felt his chest tighten as he processed the words. What had happened? How did Gaz know he felt that way about her? He quickly glanced at Soap, curious as to what his response to Gaz's words would be. Either way, he felt his blood pressure slowly rising as all these comments were starting to become very intense, and he couldn't help but feel a bit angry at Soap's words.

"Oh fuck off..." she barked, "I don't have time for this..." she pushed herself away from the table before storming off.

König's body froze in shock as he saw her get up and just walk away like that.. the way she spoke to Soap also shook him up. He had never seen her like this.. usually she was so calm and collected, so hearing her talk in that way shook him up a lot. He slowly got up and followed after her... he didn't want her leaving like that, he didn't want her to be sad.. he should go after her and follow her. He wanted to console her.. he wanted to ask her what happened.
